Wonderful experience. We booked our trip thru our resort. Staff was super friendly. Our family of 4 went snorkeling with our youngest being the age of 6. We had a great time. After snorkeling with the stingrays and sharks we were served lunch and drinks on our boat. We then went to a sand bar to swim around in the water. We all enjoyed it!! – via

I wish I would have thought to read google reviews before booking this trip. We booked this through our upscale all-inclusive family resort. So I just assumed it would be a quality trip. I will be talking to them tomorrow about reconsidering sending people in the future. We went in March 2024. Looking back on the other one star reviews from even 6-7yrs ago, it’s the same complaints that we had with our trip. It was sold as a family friendly snorkeling trip. Very little snorkeling was done. The ocean was very rough and was not safe for children. We have a 5 and 8 year old who are very strong swimmers for their age and both struggled and were a bit scarred from the experience. The “snorkeling” is done in these strange fenced in cages in the ocean. I have snorkeled many places and never seen this. Sadly they have rays and sharks trapped in these tiny pens. So sad. They bring the ray above the water repeatedly so people can hold it. By the time my terrified five year old and I made it to the pens from the boat (you have to swim along a rope line), we had about 10min in the pen. There was an elevated mat to stand on and we could stick our head in the water and see a few small fish. The rest of the trip was a booze cruise/party boat with REALLY loud music and many explicit songs played. Families with kids should stay away. The only good thing was the really beautifully views of undeveloped coastline and we had a few sea turtle spottings from the boat. Can’t believe we paid $125 per adult and $65 per kid for this. – via

We caught a windy day, the maranarium is basically an underwater coral that houses some nurse sharks and stingrays. There are also other fish. I have done better snorkeling for sure but it was kinda cool to swim up close to the big sharks and rays. After you take a boat ride up the shore to a sand bar where there are many boat anchored blasting music and drinking. Ok if that’s your thing. We had a good laugh at a catamaran with a bachelorette party acting like fools. Then back to the dock. Not sure I would pay to do this one again..but didn’t hate it. – via

We enjoyed the trip and the staff were all fantastic. Only three stars though as there were a very large group of us, the snorkels provided weren’t amazing and the reef wasn’t as natural as we had hoped. Glad we went but wouldn’t go again. – via

We were never picked up from our hotel. We booked through our resort and they never showed to pick us up. They rescheduled our excursion but it ruined our vacation schedule. They wouldn’t even give us a discount saying “it was a technology issue”. The excursion was fun once we got there, but they really hurt our whole vacation by missing our pickup. – via

Starts off with an hour ride in the bus. Followed by 40 min sitting around at the beach waiting to load the boat. Finally get on and drive to the area to snorkel but by the time we get there we have about 20 mins in the water and we are told it’s time to go back to the boat. What! Then we take a nice cruise down the shoreline… To arrive at a party cove. Everyone bumping music and partying. We were there with our kids and the description didn’t talk about the party visit. The whole time the people drinking seemed to have fun but I would avoid if that’s not your scene or if you are with family and kids. Very disappointed. When the description says 4 hours of snorkeling, you expect more than 20 min – via

This was a great trip however I wish I had brought my own snorkeling gear as the standard gear they had didn’t fit great so if you have your own I would recommend it. – via
