5.0/ 5

Loved how quiet, and private the club was, plenty of beach chairs to choose from, good amount of variety of food, especially the buffet, the cleaness of the property and the beaches, didn’t like that some pathways weren’t lit very well in the evening, the floor in the rooms even after being mopped were completely dirty and you could see the black on your feet, service was slow at best, and alot of the crew seemed unhappy. But never the less was really nice place and definitely would like to take another vacation at the property. – via google

Even the staff confirmed they wouldn’t drink the water available at restaurants and bars. They use in for cooking, juices, and as water served.

Everyone got diarrhea from the water. They serve tab water everywhere and clean water needs to be purchased for 7 USD a bottle from the gift shop. “All-inclusive”. – via google

An all inclusive hotel that doesn’t offer clean water. At and restaurant or bar they only offer tab water that even locals wouldn’t drink. It gave us all diarrhea. You have to pay extra for bottled water. – via google

Not well staffed, which was their excuse for all the problems. Bars close early, slow but mainly friendly service, food was hit or miss but overall just okay. Property well kept. Pool bars we nice but they need more seating & umbrellas. No communication between departments so if you request something don’t expect it. Plus we were never told at check in about the activities and managers cocktail party which was disappointing since we had a concierge who did pretty much nothing. So you decide have a good time. – via google

We stayed in a Junior suite with a beautiful view and did the all-inclusive option. The week was so relaxing and fun! The pickleball and tennis courts are in excellent condition. The water activities are accessible and well maintained. The many pools and beaches are nice. All the staff was friendly and worked hard. Multiple activities offered throughout the day and live music each evening. The bartenders were friendly and worked hard – especially Elvis who is a great bartender plus was hardworking and went above and beyond each night with a smile on his face. – via google

2.0/ 5

We stayed on the resort for one week, and overall it was not one of the best experiences I’ve had with all inclusive resorts. To start with all the negative comments that I’m leaving below are things that other people have noted for the last two years. They’re usually followed by a response from management, saying that the acknowledged problem, and then they will work on fixing it, but clearly they have not as these problems persist.

The positives: the grounds and location is beautiful, very well-maintained, and recreational facilities and rocket sports are excellent. The staff are generally very pleasant, work very hard , and seem to be trying to help with the limited resources they have. À la carte dining Was excellent in the rainbow room, and it was always nice to have the availability of the coffee shop round o’clock, and a restaurant that was open from 11 AM to 11 PM. We enjoyed the trips to the capital, zip lining, and on the pink Jeep.

The negatives:
1. Nothing has changed as it release the problems The resort has, which have been commented on for the period of time since before Covid.
2. The front desk tends to be not as helpful, it will often not pick up the phone.
3. The Wi-Fi is atrocious with basically no coverage anywhere, except during the room, where it’s spotty, and within the main lobby building.
4. The rooms and decor are dated. I need a significant upkeep.
5. Finding beach towels was nearly impossible
6. The quality of the food in general was poor, boring and repetitive, and not fresh. I had food poisoning for three days, which also had me stuck inside the room for that time. The à la cart dining at Piccolo is definitely not worth it, the food is not particularly good, and the list of ingredients was incorrect and omitted, important information regarding allergens.
7. And some days one of the à la cart, restaurants would be closed, and then it would be impossible to get reservations to the other ones, especially when nobody answered the phone on the front desk.
8. The pools were nice, however, they were extremely small for resort of that size
9. The beaches are nice, but there were still problems with seaweed, which I know the perform has nothing to do with. – via google

Utila Lodge has got to be the friendliest accommodations on the island!! You’ll feel like a local in no time, and you’ll be planning your next trip back before you even leave! The staff can help with anything you need, their diving college provides world class instruction for every level as well as fun dives, and the Lodge is built out over the water so the sound of the ocean will rock you to sleep every night. Great for families and groups too. It’s paradise! – via google

Dived 4 dives over two mornings. Well organised and safety first set up. They knew which dive sites even when the current and conditions were difficult. They couldn’t be more helpful. Appreciated the quick check of equipment before jumping in. – via google

Very well run operation. Lynda was incredibly kind and professional, and she made for a great dive buddy. We departed on a two tank dive on time and had two great dives. Great help from the on board staff. I would definitely recommend diving with these guys. – via google

Did a number of dives in June and found them to be totally professional. The equipment from the boat to gear was excellent. Linda and Tian were absolutely the best and made the experience memorable. I observed there interaction with new divers and trainees and was very impressed. The numerous dive sites we visited were each different in nature with great corral, colour and ranging from large and small in size. Sharks, Rays, Turtle,s, Tarpon, Dolphins were all scene in the natural habitat, amazing. Will definitely be back! – via google

This place will always hold a special place in our hearts because they certified our children! The dive masters are experienced, thorough, patient, safe and kind. Teon (unsure of name spelling) was wonderful with my middle-graders! They really trusted him and he inspired them to work hard to complete their certifications.

My husband is an experienced diver and went on his own dives separate from the children and he was really impressed with Linda! He had a blast on their dives. They even saw several reef sharks!

We will come back! – via google
