I had an excellent experience at Lone Star Scuba. The staff is patient, friendly, and informative. The store is immaculate and fully stocked. Starting the scuba certification process can be intimidating, but Lone Star Scuba made me feel confident and excited for this journey. Highly recommend! – via

I have been diving for 15 years, and nearly ten of which were while on active duty in the USAF. It gave me an excellent opportunity to dive all over the world, but it allowed little time to advance my certifications. After kicking around the idea of becoming an instructor for a few years, I have finally pulled the trigger. After spending an hour at lone star scuba, I knew I was at the right spot. LSS took the time to help me upgrade all my gear and get me squeezed into an AOW and enriched air class. Kyle and Rob were amazing instructors, and I can’t say enough good things about that dynamic duo. They make safety the overwhelming priority, but they also make instruction fun. If you are looking to get started in SCUBA or looking to advance your dive certifications, look no further! – via

This is one of the best dive shops. I am completely new to the world of snorkeling. So I knew nothing going into this. The entire staff was incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help. There was no pressure, and you could tell that they were genuinely interested in sharing their passion. If you need anything diving or snorkeling related, these are the people to see! – via

Not only do they give very professional and thorough scuba classes if you have Robert and Kyle aided by Adam and Mechell, but they also are compassionate and candid when a 66-year-old wants to certify although she has lost significant muscle tone due to a disease. I thoroughly recommend them so does my 32-year-old daughter. We loved getting to know other divers; what are unique and pleasant group of people divers are! I have been edified by the entire experience. Now I head to the Great Barrier Reef with confidence and excitement. – via

I went there with no ideal on how I was going to get my eye prescription in a pair of snorkel goggles. Sharon has to be the most helpful person in the world. She went above and beyond to help me with my problem. After all the effort she had done and even helped me to not spend a lode of money. My experience with Lone Star Scuba was amazing and if I ever need anything for underwater fun this is we’re I’m coming hands down. Sharon your the best. Thank you so much!!!!!! – via

Great customer service not just salespeople. Lone star scuba is staffed with passionate individuals who want to pass along their love for scuba. Open water course completed and what a great experience. There was not one instructor or dive master present who didn’t show professionalism and knowledge. I’ll be continuing my dive knowledge, gear and friendships with the great people at Lone Star Scuba. – via

Only open 4 days a week. Refuses to stay open 10 more minutes so I can get there after work. I have tried many times and they always say “no sorry” so clearly they don’t care about helping the customer or making a sale. They get 3 stars because rents are cheap and the guy with the long hair that works for them is an awesome employee – via
