We ordered conch fritters, grouper and red snapper. Could not tell if there was conch in the fritters or not, but they were tasty albeit a bit pricey for 4. The grouper cayman style was delicious, the lobster mash a tepid temp but tasty. The snapper blackened was good. Vegetables were so al dente you needed a knife, needed a flavor enhancer and a bit more cook. Server did not check back after dropping the entree, no appetizer plates offered so we used bread plates which were not replaced. Service was attentive but details were missed. Had to wait to have entrees bussed and for the check. Great view with cruise ships leaving the harbor and Tarpon swimming below. 2 entrees, a San Pellegrino and conch fritters for $148 U.S. – via google

We had a shore day on Grand Cayman during our cruise, and we were in search of a good meal with a nice view. We had made reservations for the afternoon, but they were able to easily accommodate us when our plans changed and we found ourselves in town when the restaurant opened

You can see the cruise ships from the deck. We watched a small school of Tarpon feeding near the shore while we waited for our food. The conch fritters were very tasty and came 4 pieces to an order. We had never tried turtle before and found it to be quite delicious. We almost ordered a second plate. The lobster thermidor was rich and cheesy with large chunks of lobster. The tuna ceviche special was also worth a mention

Our server was friendly, attentive, and shared a lot about her experiences on the island, and had no problem calling us a cab to head to our next stop on the island

As in many places we visited on our trip, be aware that there’s a 20% auto-gratuity added to your bill. Also, if you’re coming from the US, the Cayman dollar is stronger, so be prepared to pay more in US dollars than what you see on the menu. None of these had a negative effect on the experience and are only included as helpful tips to set expectations for future visitors

My love and I had the most amazing experience at The Lobster Pot! We vacationed on Grand Cayman in September, and while my review is severely delayed, the grand experience is still fresh in my mind!

I have various food restrictions/allergies, and contacted the restaurant ahead of our vacation. This is the only are where my experience could have been improved, as it took me reaching out a couple of times to get a response from the restaurant. However, once my contact understood the complexity of my restrictions, I was put directly in touch with Chef Kerry Ann. Can I say, she is not only an amazing chef, but such a warm and hospitable woman?! I submitted my list of restrictions, along with my list of safe foods. Chef Kerry Ann focused on my list of can-have foods, and crafted a delightful, safe, delicious, flavorful meal!

My first course was a ceviche with local fresh catch and freshly made plantain chips. Dinner consisted of another fresh catch of the day, prepared with flavorful white sweet potato mash, vegetable medley, and a coconut cream sauce. Everything tasted so divine!

We were also placed at a table directly over the water’s edge, and in our opinion, was the best view in the house! We chose our dinner time to intentionally fall at sunset, and we were not disappointed! This was our one special dinner out during our stay, and it was a most memorable experience!

We will definitely be back, whenever we are able to make it to Cayman again!

Trifecta of great food, great service and great atmosphere. A definite must for a nice seafood dinner out on the island. The lobster, shrimp, and mahi mahi were all excellent. On Sunday the 8th of Jan 2023 12 of us in number went along for a Birthday party. On leaving everyone in the group is unsure if our experience had been caused by post-Holiday fatigue, but in all the years we have been going, in some cases over 25 then everything that could be wrong was pretty much up there.

The food was short on quality, quantity and heat. Most relevant being the food temperature. Nearly all the dishes without exception were neigh cold and not ideal at a Sunday lunch and not a salad… With only a party of 12 it isn’t hard to deliver hot food consistently. We were also always hunting down service rather than being hosted. Again unusual.

So, in the hope that it was in fact post-holiday fatigue and based on previous experience we will be back again one day and for hopefully a far better and happier experience. Living on island there is a vast array of opportunities to eat, and consistency has to be there whatever the time of year. – via google
