I was not able to find a valid business license for this company nor do they have a permit to teach surf lessons. I would be very weary about giving money to this man. He advertises his lessons on craigslist for surf as long as you want…that is very bizarre what if I want to surf for 8 hours do you pay your instructors for that? – via google

I joined Learn2Rip back in 2021 as a beginner looking to improve my surfing. I was immediately welcomed in and made to feel like family.

In just a short amount of time, I saw huge improvements in my surfing and since then I’ve continued to regularly surf with them and have gotten even better!

What I love about Learn2Rip is that it is not just a surf school but also a community of surfers who love their sport and want to improve. Cary, the owner, whom I’ve grown to know over the past 2 years, truly cares about his students, their improvement and most importantly their safety in the ocean.

I recommend this school to surfers of any level who wish to improve their surfing and find a community. – via google

They’re not only a school, they’re a community of people learning to surf and what it is to be a surfer. If you’re serious about having safe, fun experience, and a good foundational education on surfing instead of being thrown on the assembly line at one of the beachfront schools… This is the place to get a lesson. – via google

Couldn’t be happier I went with Learn2Rip for a lesson and became a part of the community! George and Cary were excellent teachers and are really passionate about sharing the joys of surfing with everyone. Highly recommended for surf lessons of any ability. I was originally supposed to have a lesson at Sunset Beach w/ one of the instructors, but she couldn’t make it. Cary, the owner himself, called me to apologize and offered me a lesson directly with him. He definitely takes pride in his school and is an expert on all things surf. He wants to make sure you know ALL the necessary info on waves, tides, etc. – basically you’ll become an oceanographer by the time you catch the first wave :). He gave me valuable advice and showed me how to level up my surf. Thanks Cary! – via google
