This might have been my favourite waterfall in Laos.

Parking our scooter was 2K and the entrance fee was 25K per foreigner. After we paid, we took the free shuttle to the waterfall (option to walk). The pathway to the main waterfall is beautiful. You get to see some bears and mini waterfalls. You can also swim in some of the lower pools.

We also did the mini hiking trail. There are warning signs that say it’s slippery and it definitely is slick. I did the hike in plastic flip flops (0/10 would recommend) and ended up doing the descent barefoot. But what’s cool is that we saw a Pope’s pit viper on the hike! It was hidden in the tree leaves, just above our heads. In total, the hike took us around 30 minutes.

For being a main tourist attraction, it surprisingly didn’t feel that way (went on a Tuesday afternoon). Sure it was busy, but not so busy that you feel suffocated. Also, the way they’ve fenced off a lot of the waterfalls makes it easy to take pictures without flocks of people in your shot. – via

Prachtige watervallen, echt de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Wij vonden deze mooier dan de Arawan watervallen in Thailand. Het beste kan je om 9uur naar de watervallen gaan, het is er dan nog rustig. Wij zijn op de scooter er naartoe gegaan en vonden dat het beste vervoermiddel. De wegen zijn goed te doen, hier en daar wat gaten in de weg. Een tuk tuk vragen ze al gauw 250.000 LAK pp voor, terwijl een scooter 180.000 LAK per 24 uur is en waar we met z’n 2-en op zaten. Scooter is het meest soepel, onderweg leuke plekjes om te stoppen voor koffie etc. Verder is het bij de watervallen allemaal goed geregeld. Kosten 25.000 LAK pp, waarbij je met een elektrisch karretje naar de ingang wordt gebracht. Parkeerplek voor scooter wordt aangewezen, 2000 LAK voor parkeren. Kan niet op slot omdat ze scooters verzetten. Ze gingen er heel netjes mee om en is betrouwbaar. – via
