Excellent Ice Diving Course! This was my first experience with Kraken Scuba. I found them very well organized and professional, but also a lot of fun and casual (thanks to the Staff). During the classroom portion, Mike and Rob did an outstanding job covering the differences involved when diving under the ice. Once at the lake, they, along with Anna, Nate, Marty & Steve were extremely helpful. Every one of them makes you feel welcomed and like part of the Kraken Scuba family. I look forward to the opportunity to dive with them again. – via

In all honesty, if I knew how challenging this process would have been when I started, I never would have committed. My husband and brother seemed excited about it, so my SIL and I signed up, too. FOMO is real lol. There were times when I was definitely ready to quit. That little voice in my head became not so little and it apparently did not like being underwater.
The instructors at Kraken are beyond incredible. I’m submerged in water, half way to a panic attack, and these freaking people are convincing me (through sign language) that I should to flood my mask, take the regulator out of my mouth, or agree that they cut the air from my tank. And you know what, I did it. I did it all. It wasn’t pretty but I did it. These things could happen while diving and, they are right, I need to be prepared. I am so proud of myself for getting through it and I only have the Kraken team to thank.
I am a big believer in setting expectations, so be aware that there could be some improvement in general organization and communication. That is the only critique I have. And, still five stars!
If you are ready for an adventure and to explore an entirely new world, Kraken will teach you how to stay safe. It won’t always be pretty but they won’t give up on you if you don’t give up on yourself. – via
