I passed my PADI Scuba Diving Open Water Certificate successfully with Koh Tao Academy for only 9 000 BTH (very good price in Koh Tao). Patta was the best instructor!! Very professionnal and passionate, she was very helpful passing the theoric part and so reassuring under the water! I felt very safe with her. The atmosphere during the 3-day course was very friendly with Patta and Chema. The school is not crowded like in some others schools wich makes a big difference when you are beginner like me. We went by boat to different beautiful diving spots around Koh Tao. They both know very well the area and are full of knowledge. Definitely recommend Koh Tao Academy for your diving experience! – via

Perfect! I did the Open Water Diver here with my boyfriend in January 2023. Everything was very professional and well planned. The instructors were very helpful, kind, competent and overall motivated for the sport. Our course was lead by Lea, she was amazing! We felt very safe and in good hands the whole time while having so much fun and enjoying the dive. Costs for the course and the dorm are great: there is absolutely no lack of quality even tho it’s relatively cheap. Unfortunately, we already booked our next plane so we couldn’t stay longer. I would recommend planing the days after the course more flexibly because you will most likely want to stay longer and do the advanced course as well (only one more day but you get to dive to 30m instead of 18m). – via

Just finished 4 days of fun diving with Phoenix Divers and they are absolutely superb, very professional and just the friendliest bunch of dive masters, instructors and administrators you could ever wish to meet.
Lovely dive boats, superb equipment with lots of sizes available and lots of space for kitting up and socialising at the end of the day sharing a drink at the end of the day to watch the sun go down.
Although I was fun diving and not doing a training course I listened in on quite a few of the training sessions and briefings and based on this would definitely recommend Phoenix to anyone wanting to learn to dive.
I would just like to say a huge thank you to the DMs I dived with who were Fernanda, Sean and Nynne, James in the office and to all my dive buddies and also to Johnnie the Whale Shark who turned up on Chumpton Pinacle for us one morning – just an amazing experience.

Had such a good time diving here. Got my Open Water and Advanced Adventurer certifications. Charley was the best instructor and was incredibly patient and keep me calm the whole time. I had the best time and got to meet people as well. Loved the fact that it was right on the beach and had tea and coffee all the time. The hostel was included in the price and had good showers. – via
