Despite the high ratings, I do not think the diving school deserves 5 stars in my experience. This is for a number of reasons:

I took a refreshment dive ($105) because I hadn’t dived in over 1 year. Sometimes I felt ‘stupid’ if I didn’t remember certain things or if I had questions. For example: When our diving instructor brought water to the boat, I asked if I could also buy a bottle of water. The response was that ‘the diving instructor is not going to drink all the water himself’. In other words: the feeling that I should not ask silly questions.

The two dives during the course were fantastic and we came across a giant puffer fish. However, my diving instructor found it necessary to pinch the puffer fish’s tail… this is no respect in my opinion.

My diving instructor had a GoPro and took a lot of cool photos! I could buy all the photos for $20 or nothing. There was no room for negotiation, I did it because there were some really cool photos. After I bought the photos it looked like my dive instructor’s shift was over. I had a few more questions but I got the feeling that I shouldn’t ask anything more…

They also charged $20 for the taxi ride to and from the diving school. So I paid $145 for everything. Even though it was my own choice to pay for this, many diving schools charge an all-in price so I think its quit expensive for the experience they gave me.

In short: high price and no warm welcome feeling. This is not a diving philisophy I am used to. Hopefully they weren’t having their day. – via google

Unfortunately, the dive itself is not that nice. Lots of trash and broken coral and very few fish. Some equipment is not perfect. For example, the air pressure hose had a leak and was bubbling away. The inflator and the valve on the regulator also had a leak and was bubbling.
In addition, the second dive was very unpleasant! The diving instructor grabbed the fish by the tail fin so they could swim faster. Touched and shook a lot of corals. That’s not a diving philosophy for me, I wouldn’t recommend the diving school to anyone! -viagoogle

The instructor was very nice. The experience diving that I took itself was very good.

Although when I came back to hotel, I noticed that I don’t have some high value bills that has been in my wallet for a while. I had had this 50,000 Riel bill for the past a few days so I soon realized it was missing after the diving and also 40 USD. Total over 52.5 USD.
Someone took high value bills from my wallet while I was diving and left small value bills so It took me a while to notice.
The instructors and students were all in the water while diving but there were two guys stayed on the boat, looking after it. Must be them. It was truly only the time I left my belongings out of my sight.
I had water proof bag.
So other than that time, my stuffs were with me entire time.
I checked how much I put in my wallet before the night and on the night.
So I am very certain.

There were a lot of places that does not accept credit card or prefer cash on this island or Cambodia.
This diving center does NOT accept credit card, neither.
They actually had lockers but they didn’t ask me if I wanna use that. They just provided me a box to put all my belongings and told me to keep it there while I was diving, no lock, just on boat.

Why didn’t they ask if I wanted to use locker although they had a lot of empty lockers ?
I don’t really feel it is a safe place.

The diving itself was expensive.
And they stole some money.

Don’t go this place.

Reply:I was sure about it but didn’t want to waste my time talking with you because no way it will come back.
I am not writing for myself. just sharing my experience for future divers to consider.
And honestly just expected you to say “we will let future divers to use lockers. So that it won’t happen again.” – via google

About to dive again and recalled I didn’t give my feedback on this experience in April 2023. Besides the extremely precarious conditions of the wooden platform, I was charged extra money to do a refresher dive – which I thought was both safe and necessary, until I found myself diving with people sharing they hadn’t dove for over two years but they weren’t asked for the refresher. – via google

Did two fun dives and I was surprised how good it was. My instructor had eyes of an eagle and even spotted a sting ray that was completely hidden under sand!
When I booked I wasn’t sure my nose and ears was going to be okey cus of a cold. But I could book and let them know in the morning of the dive how I felt. Very flexible and nice, would recommend! – via google
