I happened to be in the Dominican for a wedding with my wife and 3 young kids. We had enough luggage to haul, so no room for my kite gear. Checked the wind one night after putting the kids to bed and it looked good in the morning. Found several options for gear rental online, but Kite Surf Punta Cana was the one who had the best gear. Tough to beat new Duotone kites and Crazyfly boards. Sent a message and they were quick to respond. Even offered to pick me up at 8am as my hotel was on the way. My wife was nervous about me heading out but the concierge said they had heard good things. 8am rolls around and they pick me up. Get to his little shop and everyone is very nice. We (they :)) pump a 13m Dice with the Click bar for me. Then we wait out a 10 minute rain shower and about 30 minutes for the wind to fill back in. I’m on the water at 930 and it’s a beautiful spot. If you go upwind of the lesson area a bit you’ll find some amazing flat water – great to avoid the chop inside the break. It’s a big play area and was a great time. Got a 2 hour session in, he had arranged a ride back to the hotel for me, and I was back by 12:30. What a gift to score an unexpected session in paradise, and these guys made it amazing. Thanks again! – via

Terrible experience with this kitesurfing lesson. The instructor had very poor English and communication skills, making it difficult to understand instructions. They also lacked the proper skill level, resulting in a dangerous and unenjoyable lesson. To make things even worse, the instructor falsely advertised private lessons, but we ended up in a group lesson where the instructor used our paid time to set up and kitesurfing for themselves. We spent almost 7 hours standing in cold water for three sessions that cost us 900 US dollars, but still couldn’t learn how to properly kitesurfing. The pricing was overpriced and the instructor was dishonest about the group lesson, making it an utter waste of money and time. Would not recommend to anyone. If you like being lied to and watching your money being burned for the other to have fun, you have come to the right place. – via

INCREDIBLE place to learn kite surfing. I am so happy I chose it during my stay in Punta Cana. My instructor Lalo helped me get to the next level in the sport and was so patient when I made mistakes and very clearly identified what I need to do to fix them. I felt like I was with the best teacher on the island! The owner was also incredibly easy to coordinate with and always made sure I got to and from my hotel on time and without getting lost. They are an amazing and welcoming team and I would recommend them to anyone looking to learn kite ❤️ – via

Excellent team! The main interest, apart from safety, was the interest of the whole team that we really learn the sport. I went with my 11 year old daughter and they adapted the training to each one. They were attentive to the psychology behind the sport, to build confidence and enjoy. We were with Yen and Lalo as instructors (both were great!!). Felipe (the boss) always attentive and taking care of all the details. I could say that this team is hard to beat. We hope to return soon! – via
