SCAM!! Do not book with this company. I bought an $800 “kite in a day” lesson in October 2022 and have tried 8 times to have my lesson, and EVERY SINGLE TIME they have cancelled due to weather, even though I’ve seen other kiteboarders riding at the spot on the same day. I have called and asked to speak with a manager to get a refund, and am told that there is no manager available to speak with. I’ve emailed several times to request a refund and they have told me that I can’t, but they still refuse to let the lesson go ahead. I am trying very hard to get my money back but can’t even get onto a manager. That’s how I know this is a scam. Extremely poor customer service and id hate for anyone else to fall for the same trap I did. Very disappointing. – via

I had the best time getting Lessons from Kite Republic. Within three 2 hour lessons I was riding around the bay. Great lesson structure and easy to understand instructions made this the perfect course for me. Look forward to getting out with my own kite tomorrow. I had a two hour lesson with Sarah today. She was totally awesome. Stepwise, methodical, clear, concise, explaining not just what to do but how and why as well, so I could really understand. When I made mistakes she identified the problem immediately and explained how to correct it. If I kept making the same mistake she anticipated it and reminded me so I could avoid it. She was absolutely 100 percent focussed and efficient, so I really felt every minute of the lesson was valuable. I can’t think how she could have been better. She is an absolute natural at teaching.
