This place was amazing!!! Pete was our instructor, he was very patient and kind. Our first time diving and his calm demeanor helped to make the experience great! The captain and mate were fantastic, also super helpful and kind. Could not have asked for a nice crew or group of people to dive with! – via

I have my advance diving certification and we decided to dive in Key Largo. We chose Key Largo Dive Center for our first dive in the keys. I must say it was the worst experience ever. When we started out everyone was friendly as could be. We rode out to the Molasses reef. The waves were extremely bad and the boat was rocking terribly. We did our wide stride into the water and it went downhill from there . The waves were so bad that I began to get a little panicked because I wasn’t weighted enough to go down. I made my way back to the boat and got back in. Mistake #1 they let me back in the water in a small panic. I made it down and made it for 10 minutes. Got back to the top of the water in a full blown panic. I latched onto a buoy and manage to cling to it an my husband. I was in full panic in the water for 45 minutes. All the dive masters from Key Largo Dive C. enter left us and went back to the boat then made two failed attempts to get me out of the water. Worst experience ever. Then went we got back to the marina the captain told me I didn’t preform to my certification. Well I will say the captain nor the crew preformed to their certification level either. The captain was very rude amd cursed the other divers trying to get back on the boat. If you are looking to dive in Key Largo I would not recommend Key Largo Dive Center.
I also want to give a huge thank you to Rainbow Reef. They were out there and saw the cluster attempts to get me out of the water. Finally Hailey jumped in and was able to get my husband and I to their boat. We were taken back to the marina by them . They were extremely nice and accommodating . So I would highly recommend Rainbow Reef for your Key Largo diving adventures. – via

My daughter and I dove on 12/2/23 with KLDC and had a terrific experience. Everything from booking, on line waivers, check in, gear rental went very, very smoothly. The shop is nice and well organized and when we needed some minor repairs, Capt. Larry was able to help. The dives were great. We went to Molasses Reef and the The Benwood. – via

Great day diving with Key Largo Dive Center. Nice new boat, very helpful crew and a friendly captain. Dive guides were great, let you explore as you wanted but helped those that wanted it. Have been going to some of the other Largo Dive shops on past trips, but no more, this team is great to dive with.
Vis wasn’t great, but has been rough for several days. Went to Molasses Reef, tons of coral, a shark and turtle came out as well. Then moved down the reef a short ways, went through a couple short swim throughs, known to have lots of fish and they didn’t disappoint. Spotted drum was on display as promised. Large green moray just chilling in the back of an overhang. Then more turtles on the way up.
Then a good hot rinse on the boat before the ride back and a few cookies to snack on. – via

Great dive company. Erica met us in the shop to get our gear. She was very friendly and helpful. We went diving with Terry. Everything was top notch throughout both our dives. Equipment was new. The dive was beautiful. We hope to come back soon and dive with Key Largo Dive Center. – via Google

Great dive sites and a comfortable new boat from December. Also the dive master and “first mate” was great and had some great jokes. – via Google

my son and I did our advanced yesterday and today . Terry was awesome. very patient and fun. Erika was great with change in plans as my husband got sick and couldn’t go and my daughter just wanted to snorkel. Max has the best dad jokes that are so bad you can’t help but laugh. Jean Michel was helpful with our equipment and getting us on and off the boat. Captain Larry your boat is beautiful and your crew is fantastic. One of the best diving experiences we have ever had. Thanks all! – via Google

We dove with Key Largo Dive Center over the thanksgiving holiday and had a fantastic experience. Both captain (Larry) and crew (Max and Terry) are top notch. We had a mixture of divers and snorkels and they made sure we all had a great experience. The boat was brand new and the rental gear was in perfect condition. We’ll definitely be back. – via Google

I would give 0 stars if I could.
The most important thing to mention off the bat is my party was snorkeling not diving. They took us out to beautiful molasses reef. Which we have snorkeled before. It’s almost always an amazing experience. This day was NOT the case. The ocean was too choppy and the waves/current were insane. Over half the boat was sick and vomiting.
The captain and first mate were making rude judgmental comments to and about everyone. They accused some of the people of being drunk. Others they mocked saying they knew that there were lies on the boat and they just couldn’t swim and had lied at the beginning. There was only two people who hadn’t lied but clearly were not the strongest swimmers.
Keep in mind my party had snorkeled this reef before and it was amazing. We are proficient swimmers and do really well in the water. Over a third of the people, divers and snorkelers, decided not to get in at the second stop. Which prompted more jeering from the crew. There was one dive guide that was amazing. She was super friendly and nice. She make everyone feel better. After getting slammed around on the boat and mocked and belittled.
They brought us back to shore. Where they strong armed everyone for tips. Stating many times that its a gratuity based industry. So they treat you like trash and mock you then force you to tip before you get off the boat. I understand that tips are for showing you’re appreciation for something they are not something you’re always going to get. Just because the company doesn’t pay livable wages. Also, maybe don’t mock and belittle the people that paid to be there and later expect them to give you a tip… Don’t recommend this tour, unless you’re a diver and even then, they really don’t care. They state many times their are a boat ride not an adventure. – via Google
