Kayak Africa just know how to help you enjoy Cape Maclear and all the lake has to offer. They are reliable, safe, courteous and fairly priced. For around $60 USD my son and I had a great trip out to Dumwe Island today, kayaking out there, snorkelling amongst masses of beautiful cichlids. All round a fantastic day. Nothing is too much trouble for the team. Thank you Kayak Africa for a great visit. – via ![]()

One thing is sure, Kayak Africa runs two exceptional locations. Superb places with no doubt.
The catering we enjoyed was great but was the result of a special order which had been outsourced.
Equipment, boats and facilities are a bit tired. Service is friendly and “baba-cool”.
In a nutshell … great and unique locations but do not expect any luxury standards even though I would qualify it as a glamping destination.
If you are happy with simple backpacker standards, this is paradise! If you seek eco-luxury and top service, this place is not for you. – via ![]()

(Translated by Google) Just getting to Cape Mc Clear is a small adventure in itself, even more so if you take into account that we came at night and with a car that was falling apart haha. It is worth it for many things, but without a doubt you cannot miss renting a kayak and going to one or more of the islands. Kayak Africa is undoubtedly the best option among all the competition (I assure you that we spent time talking to everyone) we were one of the few tourists in the area. The treatment, quality, price and conditions here were exceptional and the two days we spent on the island of Domwe unforgettable. Both for friends and couples. It’s the closest we’ll get to having an island for ourselves hehehe. The contact is Suta +265999942661, a very formal guy,

Another beautiful stay at the pristine and gorgeous Mumbo Island.
This place is so incredibly beautiful. Simple and comfortable rooms with views that take your breath away.
The food was fantastic, they were able to cater delicious food for vegetarians, vegans & Gluten free people.
I will come here again and again, a truly special place
Remember to charge up all your electronics as there is no electricity.
Go for a walk and see sunset from Pod Rock
Go on a sunset paddle around Mumbo and take a sundowner with you to sip on as your watch the sunset.
If your a diver, go diving and definitely go snorkeling around Jumbo and out at tooth Rock.
Walks or runs around the island. Massages or yoga on the forest deck. A fire on the fire deck before dinner and star gazing after!!!!
Highly recommend visiting if you can – via ![]()
