Highly recommend Joe’s! ??????????
From booking my open water course a few months in advance to being dropped off at my hotel after the final dive day I can’t fault Joe’s gone diving, so much so I’m returning to do my AOW. The communication from the owner during the booking process was/is amazing, very fast replies, super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very patient(I ask heeeeaps of dumb questions, and I know it)… I actually didn’t feel like a customer more like a friend! all this made me really comfortable and excited to start my dive journey!
There is nothing left to chance and it’s so hassle free, everything is prepared from dive gear hire to charter boats to dive spots also awesome lunch! Modern car transport to dive spots, good quality gear to hire, instructors are rad, great price but it’s the little things that they do to make your experience memorable… by the end of it felt like a couple friends going out diving… great experience and looking forward to seeing you soon! – via

Had an amazing experience here. We completed our PADI open diver certification (did the referral course from the US). We asked months in advance if they would accept our Referral from the US, since we heard some stories about different systems, and they were very responsive and walked us through all the necessary paperwork to avoid misunderstandings and miscommunications.

As a result, we had a seamless experience and were able to practice our skills immediately in the ocean. Edi, our dive instructor, is the best. He was super patient, high energy, and positive. We were quite nervous about our skills but he reviewed them with us well and when we struggled he took extra time to make sure we were feeling comfortable.

We definitely did some challenging dives – lower visibility Padangbai and shore dive in Tulamben with strong waves. At no point did we feel unsafe or uncared for.

I don’t know when Joe is coming back from diving, but the person he left behind for handling his WhatsApp is doing a terrible job.
I have experienced a total disrespectful and unprofessional behavior while trying to get some info about dives. And after I have expressed my dissatisfaction for this behavior, I only got more insults.
From the dive schools that I have contacted in Bali, by far this was the worst customer experience that I have witnessed.
No matter how good are you with your dives, you need to learn how to treat people through social media. Making it personal just shows how serious your company is. – via

Excellent training centre in Amed, with great focus on an enjoyable teaching and learning experience, making sure you’re set for success on your diving adventures. Went with Joe’s for fun dives at Padang Bai and Tulamben, over 2 days. Dive instructor Edi has over a decade of diving experience and I and my partner had the best time with him. Everything was smooth, from hotel pick up (if staying in sanur), the drive to the sites, the boat to take us to the dive site (also owned by JGD), the diving itself, to the meals after diving. Also, JGD prides themselves on their big fluffy towels – tried them and indeed they are one of the best things after a dive! 😀 – via

Did my open water certification with Edi, fantastic instructor that did so much for us. The training pool and offices were clean and well maintained. They also had equipment that fit all sizes.

Moving into the water, Edi made sure to rectify any mistakes promptly and always kept a watchful eye out for us, even whilst looking for interesting fish to point out to us.

Overall a superb experience and would recommend Joe and Edi for anyone looking for a course! – via

The first day consisted of theory (we did an e-learning beforehand) and then we went into the swimming pool. On the second day we went to Padang Bai for our first outdoor dive. This was an hour away. The third day we went to Tulamben, which was a 2.5 hour drive from Sanur. The travel time was well worth it!

Wat een fijne duikschool met schappelijke prijzen! Met dank aan Edi hebben wij onze PADI open water gehaald en voelen we ons veilig onder water. De eerste dag bestond uit theorie (wij hebben voorafgaand een elearning gedaan) en daarna gingen we het zwembad in. Op de tweede dag gingen we naar Padang Bai voor onze eerste buiten duik. Dit was een uur rijden. De derde dag gingen we naar Tulamben, wat 2,5 uur rijden was vanaf Sanur. De reistijd was het dubbel en dwars waard! – via
