For what it is – the HMR is a great place. One of the highlights for me is that it’s right on the mountain, inside the rooms is warm, and at night in our rooms was no wind or anything even reminding us that we are in the cold. The fireplace is excellent; the bath has plenty of space; wending machines and free sparkling/flat, flavored, and regular water refill machine is fantastic; the restaurant on the first floor is probably the best option to eat at while staying there, believe me, you don’t want to overpay for some “high end” places around, they are a total rip off, get a burger at Van W. I also loved the outside of a building, makes it feel super cozy. In general, we were pretty much satisfied with it, and a big thank you to the people who work at the resort; everyone is extremely friendly and helpful! It would not be as great if it wasn’t for them!
Totally lost on not bringing a swimsuit and sweatpants for the hot tub and the gym. – via
