It’s was my first scuba dive experience in Okinawa and the I chose the worst weather (24th December, winter season) to do it but Mr Tetsu managed to provide the best one, despite the condition, with his expertise, attention and kindness. Excellent dive experience with Tetsu and Saki! Due to uncertainty in weather conditions, Tetsu constantly updated me on the weather in the days leading up to the dive trip, and on whether we’re still good to go for Manza. During the dive trip at Cape Manzamo, I dived with Saki, who was extremely knowledgeable about the area and wildlife there, and was very patient in explaining the underwater terrain. Also, due to the rather cold waters, both Tetsu and Saki was constantly ensuring that I was kept warm throughout the experience, with them armed with hot water and tea too. In all, the level of responsibility and concern for their customers surpassed my expectations. Would definitely recommend Honu Honu Divers to everyone! – via

28yo Dane here. Took my PADI OWD license with Tetsu-san, and I must say that it was an amazing experience and that Tetsu-san is an amazing teacher. Throughout the course I felt very calm and relaxed due to Tetsu-san’s calm way of teaching and being and because Tetsu-san is very good at informing of the schedule and the assignments at hand! He does so both with the upcoming assignments, but also with what is going to happen tomorrow etc. So that you are always aware of the plans! Tetsu-san was also very good at illustrating assignments, so that I got to see it, before I had to try it out, and giving advice on how to improve on different skills. Even so, Tetsu-san was also very good at giving me space to try it all out at my own pace.
To top it all off, Tetsu-san took pictures during our dives, so now I’m able to remember my first dives and even show my family what I saw. Overall a truly amazing experience, thank you very much Tetsu-san! – via

A great dive shop in Naha. It was my first time using them and I was a little nervous but Tetsu san is a great instructor with tons of experience, great knowledge of marine life and excellent English communication skills. I dived with them for 4 days and I felt very safe and well cared for which is really important for me. I really recommend them! – via

My friend and I completed the open water certification with Tetsu-san. I’ve never done any scuba diving or snorkeling of any kind before this course so I was a little nervous, but Tetsu-san was a fantastic instructor and made us both feel extremely comfortable. He is extremely attentive and we went through the entire process at our own pace.

We attended the 3 day course and had a great time despite the weather not being in our favor. Tetsu-san made sure we were both warm and relaxed throughout our dives.

He also gave us some great recommendations on local areas for food, beaches, and dive sites for our next trip! – via

It was a great diving experience. Very nice contact with Tetsu san (owner) in advance to adjust the tour to my personal skills and expectations. My instructor Saki san was (like Tetsu san) fluent in English and with her calm and patient personality I felt save all the time underwater. I took the off the coast of Naha and Motobu tour and it was an amazing experience. Everything was well organised and even a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Motobu harbour was included. During all the dives, Saki san explained and showed a lot of details about the local marine life and took many photos with a professional camera equipment. The last day I went for snorkelling with Tetsu san, which was another exciting experience. The atmosphere was familiar and Tetsu san was very helpful and made my stay at Okinawa unforgettable. I absolutely recommend Honu Honu Divers! – via
