Dani was wonderful! I had a few questions after a very nice soak. She was very friendly and helpful. I was sorry to see someone give her a hard time when she very politely asked them to wait outside for their scheduled time, multiple times. Dani was still extremely professional and polite. This was a wonderful experience all around. I absolutely recommend it to anyone interested!! Just fallow the rules please. ?? – via

This place is really cool. While I wish the water was a little warmer, it’s not like the workers can change how nature works. The hostess was very nice and informative, she answered all my stupid questions. Only thing I would change is maybe better changing area – some space heaters would be good on cold nights. There is also not a bathroom close, so plan accordingly it’s across the parking lot. – via

Wow! We absolutely loved this experience! A hot springs inside a crater is a really neat experience! We bought tickets ahead of time (you need to!) and when you get there you check in, change into your swimsuit (or come in your swimsuit bc the changing rooms are very small) and you grab a life jacket (mandatory) and ease yourself into the spring! There is room to float freely or two spots to sit and chat whilst soaking.
They also offer scuba diving certifications! If you are already certified you can come her and scuba dive! Very cool to watch them scuba beneath your feet. They also offer snorkeling gear (which we recommend snorkeling! We brought our own gear :))
You swim for about 40 min, the couple running this place was very nice (thanks again!) and we totally recommend this experience! We would do this again! – via

This was just an amazing experience. My girlfriend and I dived here and it was unlike any other dive we’ve done.
We brought only our masks (for comfort). They have everything you need to dive, all you need is to bring your cert. Your 1 hour time block is just the perfect amount of time, since you’ll be able to see everything in the hole, chill for a bit, and come back with some air left in your tank. There’s not a lot to see down there – it’s an empty crater with no wildlife.
John was great to work with and got us all set up and briefed for the dive. We asked for permission to take some photos, and were allowed to. They have an easy entry area where you can stand in the water to gear up.
You’re not supposed to go deeper than 35 feet to prevent silting, and there really isn’t anything to see down that deep, since it gets dark and silty.
The water felt amazing. No need for a wetsuit – we measured it at 94°F.
If you’re just here to swim, I could see how it would be a far more tepid experience. There’s not a lot of room on the surface, so you just kind of float there.
It wasn’t very crowded when we visited. Maybe 10 swimmers and 6 divers total. They have 4 changing rooms and you can stash your gear along the sides of the entryway.
Parking was easy, as we were able to park about 50 yards from the crater entrance. – via

Great experience overall. There should be more changing rooms so you don’t have to wait wet and cold, either that or have a more systematic approach as to when to get out of the water. I would have appreciated divers to have their own time slots so I don’t feel someone is swimming underneath me. – via

We visited The Crater here on our honeymoon! I have so many mixed feelings. First thing, security on your personal items isn’t great. They have lockers, with no locks on them. There is a staff member who’s usually nearby, but id still just bring the bare essentials. It was super fun to swim, it isn’t hot but is warm enough. We also enjoyed watching the few divers there! Our group of people was around 20 and it felt like the perfect amount, plus 5 people diving. If you go I’d recommend taking goggles so you can see under the water. There’s a couple little areas of wood off the dock that you can sit in like a hot tub. But the wood seems to be rotting and stinks, which was kind of gross. You can change while there, but they have only a few small changing rooms and since it’s winter it was COLD! If you change before you’ll have more time to swim:) – via
