I have been on lots of dive boats, but this was my first time on a scuba diving yacht! This was by far the most comfortable dive boat I have ever been on. Cushy seats inside the main cabin along with an entire lounge area in the v-berth. She has the BIGGEST swim deck I have ever seen, large enough to accommodate wheelchair users which I LOVE. Not to mention the gorgeous custom bar built by the owner himself so you can enjoy a hand crafted cocktail! Not only does Cordelia have all the amenities that you can dream of, but the crew went above and beyond to accommodate all of us with their incredible customer service. 10 out of 10! I will 100% be using Hawai’i Dive Center for not just my personal scuba diving, but for my adaptive divers as well. EVERYONE deserves a chance to experience this luxurious diving experience. – via

Incredible diving experience! Especially if you’re looking for something more upscale & comfortable. I tend to get cold when I do multi-tank dives, but Aaron’s boat has all the amenities you need to remain warm and comfortable between dives, which was a huge perk for me. Aaron himself is super knowledgeable about the area, having thoughtfully planned our day to accommodate mixed diving ability levels with a schedule that allowed everyone to maximize their time in the water. His vibe makes everyone feel super at ease in the water as well. I will only be diving with Hawaii Dive Center in Oahu from here on out! – via

I’ve never had to leave such a negative review but here goes nothing.
I would highly recommend you avoid this company at all costs.
Initially I booked two dives about a week before I came to Hawaii for $199. This price alone is rather expensive but they were close to my hostel so it seemed the smarter choice. Everything seemed fine until the day before when they called me to switch my initial reservation. This was inconvenient but I tried my best to go with the new time. The excuse they used was the weather was bad. However, other friends in my hostel had no problems diving with other companies at the same time I was supposed to to dive. They also accidentally let slip that I was the only diver so it seemed like they just didn’t want to take me out for on my chosen reservation to save money.
When my new dive time arrived, while I was walking to the dive shop I slipped on a rock and injured my ankle/foot. I called the shop about an hour in advance to let them know but they did not pick up the phone until 30 minutes before my dive time. The guy seemed sympathetic and rescheduled me for the final day of my vacation. This was three days later.
When the final day came around I got a phone call saying that they had to cancel for a second time, and then later on for a third time on the last two dive times I would be able to make before traveling home.
I understand things change but what I do not understand is when I asked about a refund, they simply told me no. They said that they did not refund due to weather changes and that I could take a credit which would be valid for 6 months. I live in Oregon and coming to Hawaii to use a credit is not something I can easily do.
I tried contacting this company no less than 15 times with no response. When I was able to get through at the end of my trip the call rep hung up on me. We continued in what could only be described as a ‘text battle’ when I informed him I would be contacting my credit card company for the payment to be refunded. During that texting he was rude and aggressive.
I understand that of the four canceled times I was responsible for one. However, they were also responsible for three and one of those times were because they simply didn’t want to take me out.
This company has essentially stolen from me and now refuse to even discuss the issue. They canceled on me three times and refused to honor my initial dive time which would have avoided all of this. Oahu had plenty of diving options and most of which are cheaper, do yourself a favor and pick a different one.
I would avoid them at all costs and use any other company on Waikiki. – via

I have had one of the most upsetting and difficult experiences with this merchant. We booked our scuba certification course months before our trip to Hawaii. The merchant initially informed us that an online study guide, which is required by PADI to be provided to participants prior to their training sessions, will be sent out to us approximately 6 weeks before the training sessions.
6 weeks before departure, we did not receive anything. I called, called, and called; as I finally got on hold of the merchant, I was told that the study guide would be sent to us 1 week before our training sessions.
1 week before departure, we once again did not receive any updates whatsoever. I then called them another dozen times and was told that we would receive updates soon…
3 days before departure, we were told the staff were home for vacation. 1 day before departure, we were told that the instructor was sick and the training sessions were canceled.
We are left with nothing but days of free time wandering around the beach of Waikiki. – via

EDIT: Was able to get ahold of them by email and they refunded me and offered me vouchers for next time I’m in. Hawai’i. I’m going to Hawaii later this year keeping my review as is until they make good on their promise.
Came to Oahu to do a dive. After bad communication on whether this was going to be North Shore or Waikiki in the winter, would it be impossible to dive North Shore. After calling 100 times finally got a hold of them and they told me you probably wouldn’t be able to die because of the storm told me they would give me my deposit back and a voucher for future use. Called them 100 more times throughout my vacation trying to get confirmation on that and was never able to get Hold of them again. Lost my $50. – via

Highly run scam- We arrived at the location at 12:45, however, the instructions based on the website guiding us to Kewalo basin are incorrect.
As it guided you to the general area with no dock number. We then clicked the link from the email taking us to the pier, once again no dock number was listed and it guided you to the general pier area. We asked several people who work on various boats and no one would identify the company.
We contacted over 4 times on the phone it it all went to voicemail and once I emailed, I got a response back immediately saying they had a “boat emergency” and had to cancel all tours that day- you would think if there was an emergency I would be contacted? In the email they discussed rescheduling, but really I knew it was a scam! I got a confirmation email thanking me for joining the tour (I was never on!) the next day. – via

Absolutely atrocious costumer service. Avoid!
I dived with many diving centres but this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
Visiting Honolulu I booked a 2 tank dive with them. Received a confirmation email with two different meetup locations, one being on the other side of the island! On the date I came to the meeting point in Honolulu. With no one around I called up the company saying I’m in Honolulu with their reply being the email said meet at the north shore. Not having a car there was no way I could get there.
Then I was offered I could do a boat dive instead two days after which I agreed to. After this phone call I waited naively for some sort of a confirmation. When nothing happened I sent them a message and an email asking about some sort of an information regarding this situation.
To this day I haven’t got a response. They took my money for a dive I didn’t get to do and absolutely ghosted me. Let’s see if you respond at least to this review if you’re not able to communicate otherwise.
Please avoid this dive shop.
Went diving with Dive Oahu instead and had no problems whatsoever. – via

This was my first time scuba diving and it was wonderful. Captain and crew were all very experienced and fun. Chris was our instructor for us newbies. He explained everything, we took a test then took us out one at a time in the water to have us do a few practical things needed before we all went out on the real dive together. Doing this put us all at ease. Do to the choppy conditions, visibility wasn’t the greatest, but did get to see lots of tropical fish , sea turtles and a moray eel. So very cool. I highly recommend Dive Oahu and will be back for future dives – via Google
