Gforce staff were great! Although it is not advertised you need to pay for the gondola up where they take off. The price for the paragliding time is not worth it. You fly over the trees and a bit of the mountain although majority is over the city maybe lasting 10-15min. Then it’s very expensive to purchase the photos taken in the air. Price vs activity not worth the money. – via

A good place to start off on your first ever para glide! Cathol was professional and friendly and knew his stuff well. Our initial booking was cancelled due to bad weather but we were able to reschedule to the next day. Although we couldn’t take off from the usual spot overlooking lake Wakatipu, we were taken to Coronets Peak instead which was also pretty good – via

So much fun! Scary at first, but just do it you won’t regret it! Was easy to walk up and book on the day with no wait and the guide was great. Photos do cost $80 extra so make sure you factor in that expense too. – via

It’s a rather brief flight (15 minutes) and damn, very expensive one too (close to NZ$300 + NZ$80 for the pictures and video). Nevertheless, the feeling of gliding like an eagle over the QT hills, town and lake is exceptional. You fly, you truly do. Thanks to George, my FR tandem master. – via
