Fantastic views, service, and food! We stayed for three nights and the sunsets were all incredible.
Be prepared for no air-conditioning and potentially a salamander or two in the rooms. Only critique would be could use an extra standing floor fan, as the ceiling fan wasn’t the most effective. But overall Fumba was a great vacation experience. Sharon, the manager, was very friendly. She made sure all guests were satisfied and enjoyed their stay.
The resident monkeys were especially entertaining. 🙂 – via

Flotte solnedgange.
– via

We stayed four nights at the end of our trip to other areas of Zanzibar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and appropriately friendly. The manager was also responsive to our request that our ‘half board’ could include lunch and not an evening meal – the food was good. Our room was reasonable but I found it difficult to get used to a fan instead of air conditioning. However, it was maintained exceptionally well and the sand I frequently managed to leave all over the floor was always quickly cleared away. We booked a snorkelling trip which was brilliant and we saw dolphins and the coral was beautiful. Finally, I loved the monkeys … – via

So lovely! I didn’t bring money with me as I thought it was part of the hotel sports (thought I had to pay the hotel) but they were so nice about it! Told me not to worry and pay later had such an amazing trip I’m not a very good swimmer they took extra care of me thank you! Thought I’d Edit this went again today and spoke to a white bloke he seemed quite arrogant guessing he was management or owner now I understand the rest of the reviews lol what a shame because the workers r absolutely amazing! The owner had to ruin it please sort ur self out just because ur from the UK doesn’t mean u can act discourteous (I would change starts too 3 but I can’t bring myself to do it as the works were that amazing) – via

Visited in december, owners are rude and are in it for money.
We booked from our resort and was told by the Zanzibar Watersports employee that we could pay anything as a deposit and the rest at the center, we asked about card payments and the employee said is is acceptable and there is no extra charge, meanwhile the owners enforced the extra 5% charge on our scuba for paying with card.
The scuba itself was a major disappointment, boat ride was 4 hours in total, burnt in the sun and lunch was mostly rice and vegetables – the dive master and instructor dished up first and picked out all the meat from the meal.
My spouse did a discover scuba course and we were told that the dives would count towards the Padi Open Water course, yet after paying there was no proof that the discover scuba course was completed. – via

These guys were incredible. I took the snorkeling trip to Mnemba and swam with about a million fish, enjoyed an excellent lunch, and even got to see some dolphins on the way. Very enjoyable. I was also very impressed by the friendly, and knowledgeable staff who could speak with every guest in their native language (English, Swahili, French, and German represented on my boat). – via
