This was my first high adventure camp with the boy scouts, I forget what adventure it was called but it was the longest one they offered, it really changed my perception of living without electricity and running water. The living dorms are good for all the people going in and out,before you go to sleep in the dorms, also you might want to bring a blanket because the room stays at a steady 60-50°F. all the workers when I was there, were extremely kind and had patience with everyone. The food was good, the self-serve PB&J’s were a nice touch as well. they had a lot of fun activities to do after the actual trip to Munson. – via google

One of the best experiences of my life. We had a dynamite Counselor that prepared us the day we arrived at base camp. I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name but she was a terrific hostess.
There were two options when we left Sea Base Scout Camp, and my group elected the one to sail to Key West. Sailing with 5 other boy scouts, 2 adult leaders, and a captain on a sail boat was a dream come true. I did catch a virus while there at the tail end of the trip, but still that was not going to ruin my fun.
I was sad to hear right after my group was there, a major hurricane did damage to the camp. I would love to return and see what has become of Sea Base. – via google

Had a blast sailing down the keys. Staff was great, especially Jonah and Jacob who were with us on the boat. Greg was amazing too. since my troop, troop 3219 from maple lake, was the last troop of the season and apparently his favorite, Greg came down on his day off and gave us free milkshakes on our last full day in camp. Stuff we saw and did on the boat were unspeakably fun and I will remember this forever.

Highly recommend, worth the price and months of fundraising and I’d never do it differently.

Loved every second of it, captain was kind, had lots of fun, and it was nice to enjoy some amazing Florida weather! Food was also good, and got to go see some amazing snorkeling areas for the first time this season! The shipwrecked area that I got to see as well as our midweek stop were some of the few highlights of the trip! Would recommend to anyone interested in a different scouting experience! – via google

Stayed here for a week while attending BSA National Camp School training. The property had great views of sunsets and the luau area was a nice touch that added to the keys vibes. They primarily run scuba programs out of this property – there’s a number of sea base properties spread out throughout the keys and the Bahamas that offer different programs and camping opportunities. There’s a location a bit further south called Camp Sawyer that offers family camping if you have children.

The food Mike and his team prepares was some of the best camp food I’ve had compared to other properties. Meals were always on time, had good portions, and tasted good. They run on a 3 week schedule so no meal repeats unless you’re on staff. The luau dinner was outstanding.

The trading post was well organized, had good variety, and had something for everyone. Lots of Columbia and Ouray apparel. The lady running it (I believe her name was Cheryl) mentioned that she makes an effort to have toiletries and other necessities people may have forgotten available at a normal price point which was very apparent and refreshing to see.

Staff was friendly and kept the facilities clean.
