We took the tour on 09th Feb at 02 PM. The naturalist was awesome. We saw a lot. The narration, stories were fascinating. The weather was perfect and we totally enjoyed the tour. We are seniors staying in Costa Rica for a couple of months and decided to rent a scooter while in the Protreo area. Flamingo Travel was heads and shoulders above other vendors. Alex and Darwin are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and made sure these 2 old people would have a dependable, safe scooter. We rented for a total of 8 days. Darwin even took 4 phone calls from me on his day off to help with questions(he never got impatient…really a great guy). Scooters, Golf carts, tours, Flamingo Tours is a great choice. We will use them again when we return to snowbird next winter! They are terrific guys to work with. I even recommended them to our pickleball group, our AirBNB host, and the property manager at our complex.

Full and all credit belongs to the superb guide Alex! He took us (a small group of 4 bc it was the off-season) and we got an amazing and very genuine tour going through local communities, rivers, shops, and food! I have been to many countries and states within the US and I had the privilege of having the best ceviche I’ve had in my life out of a plastic cup and fresh squeezed lemon at the recommendation of Alex at blacksand beach. Had a very scenic tour and ended with a superb snorkeling dip near a beach I had never even heard of after 48+ hours of research for this vacation. And ended with a mini hike and being surrounded by at least 6 howler monkeys.
Point being if you take this tour you’ll have a great time and see some amazing things! Can’t promise monkeys Bbbbuuttt Alex if you end up with Alex you’ll have a good time. Literally the only complaint I can muster is maybe fins would be nice for the snorkel bit, but the current did a lot of work for us and we just drifted and watched. So yeah, what are you waiting for? – via

Had a fantastic time on this tour with our guide Adrian! Saw 5 different beaches, went off road and got the chance to ford a river or two and ended with a beautiful beach side sunset. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting a little adventure off the beaten path. – via

Booking and communication was easy and accommodating. The UTV trip was fun, especially the stops at the zip-line (longest in Costa Rica) and the beach at the end of the trip. The catamaran tour was nice and relaxing, staff were very attentive to serving their patrons. The beach stop was beautiful, the snorkeling may have been better if the wind wasn’t blowing and the return to the harbor timed in conjunction with the sunset was spectacular. Great time had by all in our group ranging in age from 15 – 75. – via
