We were doing the “Open Water Diver” license and we were very very happy! Our instructor Sahil was incredible! Very nice and patient and it was so much fun to do all the dives with him. The whole staff is very kind, warm and welcoming and it’s also the perfect location to start with the boat to one of the multiple very beautiful diving spots around. It just feels like one family there and you become a part of it. We will definitely come back here for more dives! – via

Perfect service. Equipment was washed by staff and every morning we found our bags already on the boat.
Very friendly and knowledgeable instructors gave us a nice first impression of the Oman underwater world.
Highly recommended

One note: At least in November be prepared for changing water temperatures. We had one dive with 28 at the surface and nearly down to 23°C at 15m ?? Termoclines at around 10-15m were quite common – and unpredictable ?? – via

What a gem of a place! We visited the wreck, cats island (newly discovered) mermaids cove and seahorse bay dive spots and wow! The wreck was for sure my favourite! The biggest angel fish I have ever seen! The giant puffer was my favourite! We decided to treat the kids to a dolphin and snorkeling tour, we saw a loads of pods of Dolphins and a humpback whale! Swam with dozens of turtles and so many amazing reef fish, great coral as well, perfect for our children, we even saw a porcupine fish and eagle ray! The staff were absolutely amazing, generous with their knowledge and their time, we literally did nothing, just relaxed, even our gear was washed! The gear we did rent and the boats were excellently maintained, you can see they take great pride in their work. We definitely recommend this company, our kids had the best time and so did we! Thanks to Anna , miki, sami, sahil and Jennifer, keep up the great work team!! 5 stars for sure! – via

Avis mitigés, une plongée a quelques mètres des côtes ne dépassant pas les 15m accompagné de plongeurs mal à l’aise, je reste un peu sur ma fin, étant donné la beauté de la faune sous-marine j’aurais souhaité être mieux accompagné 😉 . Lendemain pour le combi tour, l’accueil et le capitaine furent excellents, nous avons pu voir des dizaines de dauphins ensuite direction Tuttle bay et là c’est effectivement un bon spot pour voir des tortues, seiches et divers poissons. Ça manquait un peu de profondeur (3 m) à mon goût, mais pour la majorité des gens c’est bien pour admirer la faune. Un grand merci à Ali de s’être occupé de notre fille sur le bateau pendant que nous profitions. – via

We chose to stay at the Shangri La hotel for two nights given that it is one of the hotels with a dive center on site. Considering the good reviews, we were quiet disappointed by this dive center. Although we made a reservation more than a week before our arrival in Oman, we were assigned to a dive group with an OWD and thus had to go to a dive site which was really not worth a visit (bad visibility and not much too see). This was especially disappointing as the other two dive groups (both not full with only 3 divers each) were diving a good wrack. The option that we could split and join each group was not provided. Instead we had to go for a very boring and shallow dive – not worth the money. We asked the staff afterwards to explain why we were not assigned to an AOWD group since they went to a different dive site but they didn’t really care. Although one of us had his own equipment, we spent a total of OMR 128 (approx EUR 280) – so not worth it. Rental gear was ok but they only had a 5mm long suit or a shorty which seems a bit odd given that water temperature was 29 degrees. – via

My brother and myself had the pleasure to dive with Extra Divers Qantab for a few days and we had a blast.
This was one of the most enjoyable diving experience I ever had! The team is so friendly and helps you wherever needed.
Thank you Sami and Miki for guiding us and always making sure that don’t miss a single highlight of the dive!
Thank you Anna for making the check-in and organization going so smooth and pleasant. Especially with our flight-delay and the need to shift some dives.
