We had an amazing diving day with Myka! We did two shore dives and Myka was an excellent guide. They showed us the plentiful marine life near the Kaanapali beach and the Mala Pier including turtles, sharks, frog fish, eels and puffer fish. This was our first dive with our open water certification and thanks to Myka we quickly gained confidence! – via

We took a 2 tank shore dive with Extended Horizons’ instructor Gu in July and had the best time. One of the best scuba dives my husband has ever taken and he has done many! I am not certified and Gu gave us informative instructions and made me feel very safe, calm and confident in the water. He knew all the best dive locations in Maui and was sure to point out all the sea life that we might have swam by (those frog fish really look like coral!). We saw more sea turtles that I ever have in the wild, eels, reef sharks and so many different kinds of native Hawaii fish. We will definitely be using Extended Horizons again when we return back to Maui! Thank you Gu for taking us on the highlight of our trip 🙂 – via

Great experience diving Lanai with this dive shop! Initially, I was supposed to go diving with another dive company, but due to boat issues, the other company ended up cancelling my dive the day before. Extended Horizons was able to accommodate me within 24 hrs, so I didn’t end up missing out on a dive day! They are incredibly knowledgeable (you’ll be diving with guides w/ marine biology degrees) and will point out animal behaviors during your dive so you’re doing more than just identifying the species. Overall, great experience. They are a bit pricier than other companies, but the diver-to-guide ratio is smaller (4:1), and they use sustainable practices to run their boats. Every crew member on board had 2,000-10,000+ dives. Safe, knowledgeable, streamlined, exceptional. 10/10 would recommend diving with them. – via

Class 1 operation from beginning to end. Eric set up shore dives for my son and me, new to the sport. Rachel is a terrific guide, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about diving safely. Rachel is also an expert in the terrain we dove (old airport beach and Black Rock) and the sea life. Thank you for a fantastic experience! – via

I’ve been diving almost 50 years and this was the most pleasant one I’ve had. Captain Victoria ran a first class operation and the young lady, Gabi that was our dive master really excelled. Her knowledge of the marine life was impressive. And this old man didn’t feel rushed to clear and move along. Gabi’s love for what she does was contagious. – via

It was my first time diving and Rachel was a great guide!! She explained everything thoroughly and I felt super comfortable and confident going diving with her. This is a great dive company. I did two outings with them. Great instructors and captains, nice equipment, pleasant experience all around. I have two pieces of feedback that I think would have made the dives better:
1) You should offer the wetsuit coverage that your staff use. They only offered shorties, but all their staff dove in fulls suggesting full wetsuits are what is appropriate for the conditions. Not surprisingly, I shivered through all four dives.
2) I did a 2 tank shore dive that took more than 5 hours from start to finish (total dive time about 90 minutes). I think that’s too long. But, I’ll know to discuss details ahead of time in the future, so partly on me.
They deserve 5 stars, its a great outfit. – via
