– Mathew the owner contacted me the next day in person before I left Pullman Nadi Bay Resort to discuss my review.
– He immediately offered a full refund and although I never expected or asked for that I accepted it as a food faith gesture. Appreciated very much and thank you Mathew.
– I stand by my review and his wife’s poor way of handling a recoverable poor customer experience, but in the end I think that the operation itself is good and worthy of your (reader’s) business. We discussed many aspects of my experience and I offered solid ways he could improve. My sincere hope is that Mathew takes the advice to heart.
– Mathew you have good people working for you and I encourage you to treat them well, because without them you have no business. Take ownership of an issue before blaming process and procedures.

P.S. Asilika was NOT the one at the resort that quietly gave me the inside information. She was always pleasant/professional and never spoke unflattering about you or the business. I hope that clears up that part of my review.

The crew was fantastic, but management/owner of this company was not nice (my opinion). Crew 5 stars, owner 2 stars.
Lexi (boat captain) and my dive guide (Atunaisi) were good guys and very easy to work with on my 2 tank dive (I am certified PADI open water diver with after today’s dives – 66 total dives to date).
So boat was just over a hour late, Lexi the captain had some sort of personal emergency and never comes late, but today did in a rare case. We all have things to deal with at times so forgiven. But owner (female did not get here name) comes when boat does arrive and says arrogantly nothing is perfect and asks the older couple (going only to snorkel and visit beachcomber island for lunch) and me on boat (only diver) are you perfect. The older couple (Stan & Kathy from South Africa (but living in New Zealand) said no, but I responded to her arrogant defensive question, yes I am perfect. She responded oh you are one of those? I couldn’t believe after the long wait that she was making me the issue over her mismanagement of meeting the 9am boat arrival time. After I booked these 2 tank dives a different person at the hotel quietly said people seem to complain about the owners often and I now certainly see why.
I felt that boat should have had fruits or snacks after 1st dive ended (been my experience every time in past between dives), but nothing! This is a first for me. This I attribute to owner not providing for guests appropriately. Boat itself was fast and clean and very seaworthy. Very strange is that they only take 2 divers at any given time. Today I was the only one diving. This was a plus since I got individual attention and Atunaisi was my great dive buddy.
My understanding is Evolution Fiji is new at Pullman Nadi Bay Resort – they did not even have a stamp for my dive log. Facility building is being built and we were served by temporary tents on beach.
Reefs we went to were not in best shape. 2nd dive (was told we were going to Jackie’s Reef, but changed last minute to Bommies right off beachcomber island) was better than first. Did see small stingray (blue spotted) on 1st dive and two sharks (1 small/1 larger – great white tip) on 2nd dive.
Glad I went to try Fiji diving. Loved crew and experience. Disliked vibe owner gave me in our short encounter.
Overall good experience. Hope this helps you make informed decision.
