Fantastic!!! Could not ask for more. Fernando was an amazing instructor, got us some great waves and kept us safe but still shredding! He also imparted some surfing philosophy/wisdom that I’m still thinking about. Super memorable and beautiful experience. I don’t think it’ll be the last time we surf 🙂 – via

I really enjoyed the experience of swimming in the bay to see the bioluminescent waters. Our captain was very kind and made sure to keep a close eye on us for safety. We had a little mix up with the reservation but my request for assistance was quickly returned and they got us to where we needed to be. Thank you so much! – via

We had a great experience. Nico is an awesome instructor. He took care all the time of us and we were able in a short time to understand the basics. I definitely recommend him if you want to have a lesson. And Roxy, his dog, is so sweet too. – via

My wife and I took lessons with Nico and Fernando. I am in between the beginner and intermediate level and this was only her second lesson. I communicated a pretty tall wishlist for what I wanted out of my lesson and Nico delivered by taking me to a spot off the radar. I was a little worried my wife would not have fun at the location Nico took us to, because her first lesson in San Diego the instructor did everything for her and just got her standing up in whitewater by holding the board and pushing her. Fernando got her paddling out through waves on her own, sitting on a board on her own, and even standing up on green waves! By the end she was so stoked and had learned the basics of everything she needs to be successful in the water as a beginner surfer.

Worst experience I have ever had. Instructor texted me night before to change my class by an hour, I accommodated. Next day, I arrive to the address on the receipt which is a dead-end suburban road and call, they say “they’ve been meaning to change that, its wrong” then they give me another beach to meet them, when I get their, they give me ANOTHER address to meet them.

When I arrive, the instructor says he does not have a board for me… for a all-inclusive lesson I paid for weeks in advance and asks if I can come back in 3 hours. I do so only to call and text and be ghosted and receive a text 1 hour after our rescheduled time that “they had previous plans” – via

Nico has a great vibe, it’s an awesome, patient and very experienced teacher. Im usually quite scared in new waters and from waves as I have had few injuries, but with Nico I was sure of what I was doing and I believe I developed a good beginners vibe and fell totally in love with surfing.
Nico has 2 great companions – Roxy and Cookie, 2 sweetest dogs on the island and Cookie is an awesome surfer. Definitely book a lesson with Duke’s surf school just to have the experience! – via
