Took the open water diving course at sharkys and can’t recommend them enough! Staff always had our equipment ready every class night and never had issues with any of my gear. Mario, our instructor, was top notch, wealth of knowledge and even came out in the cold and rain in late October to help us get certified with our open water dives. Amazing experience! – via

I just completed my SSI Open Water Diver at Sharky’s and am so pleased with the wonderful instructors: Jeff, Guy, Sandra and our Dive Master in Training Mudi. It was educational and lots of fun. It was a great way to learn this new sport and I would highly recommend anyone to take this course if you’re curious about exploring a new world, or to challenge some fears of water. – via

There were no instructions given as I was not a certified diver at the time and becoming one. If I was given instructions of how to properly put a TINY cap on then yes, it would’ve been done instead of being charged!!!
Did not enjoy going into the shop at ALL. Many HIDDEN FEES and the staff were rude. The only part I liked about my course was the instructor, Robert who is an expert at diving and a very kind instructor who taught me the in’s and outs of diving. Will not be going back here again or spending a cent in the shop. Would recommend anywhere else but here as they get away with being the only dive shop in central Ottawa. – via

MANY hidden fees. Money pit if you’re taking any course and they get away with it. Hidden fees on top of course an extra $500 put out and charge for anything and everything they can. Poor service as well while browsing the shop. Go to the kanata location do not go to Sharky’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – via

I am also very lucky to have Robert Curran and Milos Stojanovic as my scuba diving instructors. During the diving course as well as the pool session, they are not just instructors, but rather a mentor and a very close friend.
Robert is very professional to his students, especially to me. I made a lot of mistakes but he is always encouraging.
Milos is super friendly also knowledgeable about the science aspect behind diving (such as human anatomy). I also like the idea he says, diving is like riding a bicycle, at first you will be awkward and make a lot of mistake, but just need to practice a lot and at a sudden you realize you are pretty good at it.
They both have a pure and kind heart, words can not express my gratefulness toward the experience.
In terms of the shop, the female staff who has a lip piercing is super friendly and knowledgeable, I like her service. – via

My diving journey grew when I first met Robin and Lorie at Divers Wearhouse in 1996 as I signed up for my Advanced Open Water with them. This summer I got my kids into the sport and am happy that Divers Wearhouse is still around. The team is still just as friendly and professional as ever and Lorne, Barry and Chris were fantastic instructors and DMs for the kids. Very methodical, detailed and safety oriented while still being fun and lighthearted. A huge thanks to the great team. – via

I purchased an expensive dive mask on line. It leaked. I took it to the Divers warehouse to show them and purchase a new one. They told me it was not the mask but my “laugh lines” on my face that was causing the leak. They did not want to sell me a new one, even though I was prepared to purchase their most expensive one. What outstanding service. – via
