This was the only restaurant still open when we got into town. I wasn’t expecting much with Golconda being such a small town. But boy was I wrong. The food was absolutely amazing! Two thumbs up! – via

Stopped in here the night before Thanksgiving after most of the other restaurants had closed. Older place in the down-town main street area of town. They were not too busy but the pair of waitresses we’re working the restaurant side and the bartending side, next door. Food was ready quickly and the burgers were good, homemade patties (not frozen disks). The fried pickles and cheese fries were seasoned a bit more than the kids liked but were far from spicy. The prices were a bit more than we would have liked to dine with, but for good service and good food in a non-chain establishment, they were reasonable. – via

We stopped at Diver Down at around 2:30 on a Saturday, and they were really busy. Our server was the only one working, and she had to bartend as well. Even though she had tons to do, she was attentive towards us. She never had her hands empty, always carrying dirty dishes or people’s food.
We got the crispy chicken sandwich which was huge. It tasted delicious as well. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich. I don’t know if I was just so hungry or what, but it’s gotta be some of the best grilled cheese sandwich I’d ever had. – via
