Stayed at Dive Urge for a week this February and couldn’t have been more pleased. The hotel is an oasis in what is already the lovely place that is Dahab. Rooms are a good size with a water machine included to refill as much as you need. Showers & toilets are modern, clean and well maintained. The courtyard is absolutely brilliant and a great place to relax any time of the day. The dive club is right on site and so convenient – the instructors & dive leaders were great – knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. I’ll be back soon with the rest of the family ! Thank you everyone including Helal, Lynne, Attwa, Youstina, Shereen, Christine, Ben and Cheddar the cat ! – via

Paradise.
We came for it’s tranquil vibe, away from the super busy loud touristy snorkeling area.
We spent all day at this beach club and we really enjoyed our day.
Worth the price. The price includes access to clean bathrooms, beach club seating/ lounge beds ( with umbrella) , drink and food for up to a value of 150 Egyptian pounds/pp.
We ordered mango juice which we do not recommend , it was not tasty but what we do recommend is their fried donuts !!!! – via

Where to start….we had planned this trip for a long while (canceled cause of covid and got a full refund at the time). We kinda took a chance cause it seemed good. It was awesome. Location-wise, it is perfectly located a short walk from real Dahab and a short walk to the tourist center. The staff of the restaurant and accommodation were super friendly and helpful. The dive gear was perfect. The dive instructor and itinerary was perfect. Everything from being picked up and driven back to the airport worked like clockwork. Our dive guide Youstina Youssef was totally flexible, patient, professional and collected. Halil and Lynne (owners) were super friendly and genuine. Wifi is limited in all of Dahab and so I recommend you buy a data sim at the airport. I think what I liked most about it is that it’s unpretentious but totally comfortable and very well run. In the end it cost us less than we were quoted because we ended up doing a few less dives than we had booked (cause we needed to rest). And I was given the opportunity to settle my account when I received the final invoice after we had left. So…. fully and highly recommended and shukrhan for a memory to keep forever. – via

Dahab is such a great place to explore the Red Sea. It’s very chilled and friendly and hotels don’t come more friendly than Dive Urge. The staff are so welcoming and just can’t do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. My husband is coeliac so dining is a bit of an issue here but the chef made special food for him every day. Including gluten free donuts on his birthday!
The place has a very relaxed feel. It’s not a smart hotel, more like a guest house where you can kick off your shoes and walk around in your swimmies. Breakfast is on the beach with the waves lapping gently close by and a view of the beautiful sea and mountains.
Beds are really comfortable and there is a fridge and water dispenser in your room.
Everyone is welcome here-the last time we visited was with very young kids, now they are teenagers and there was lots to keep them happy. The house reef is a stunning snorkel.
Now to the diving… the reefs are full of coral and fish. So many fish! There are a load of dives sites, mostly shore dives, and they drive you to these up and down the coast. Some are really close by and others you might go to and stay out for the day, having lunch in one of the lovely local restaurants. Eating out here is very reasonable in price and delicious. There are safe places to leave all your kit and valuables and many sites have a shower as well as a toilet.
You set the pace. If you want to fit in lots of diving then you can. Or you can just do one or two each day… totally as you wish!
Our dive guide was exceptional. She was ultra clear in her dive plans and explanations when training and guiding. Thorough and attentive, she helped the children and me with every dive. She gently encouraged my daughter to try some training dives and now she is an Advanced Open Water diver which was a real bonus! There are snorkelling options for non-divers and the reefs are covered in life. We saw a turtle and octopus on the reef right in the middle of Dahab! You will not be disappointed!
The food at Dive Urge is great-Egyptian breakfast is a dinner winner with freshly made falafels, cheese and flat bread. The pancakes are also really special and come in beautifully shaped patterns-different every day! Everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious and beautifully presented. And all served with a big smile from the wonderful Attwah who will go to the ends of the earth to make your stay the best ever!
We hope to be back again very soon! – via

Great location – at quiet end of town, easy walk into centre, handy village close by; lovely gardens, all spotlessly clean. Fab breakfasts. Really friendly staff. Well organised, efficient diving and good quality kit. Rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need – some nice touches (coffee and kettle, tote bag for shopping). Some great restaurants in town – really good value. Bedouin dinner evening was lovely too! – via

(Translated by Google) A small-scale complex with simple but fine rooms. We had access to clean water all day, the shower was wonderfully warm. You could have the laundry done. friendly staff, very helpful, nothing was too much. You can eat delicious food on the complex. The kitchen is very good.
We have dived and that is also well organized here. Good guidance and again everyone was very helpful here.
It’s very small scale. A nice quiet beach with good sunbeds and a wonderful view.
We were picked up and taken back to the airport.

– via
