Weissspitzenriffhaie, Schwarzspitzenriffhaie, Graue Riffhaie, Adlerrochen, Stachelrochen, Mantas, Schildkröten, Muränen, Kofferfische, Kugelfische und viele weitere Tiere haben wir beim Tauchen gesehen!
Wir haben 2 Wochen auf Makundu verbracht und haben 3 Tauchkurse absolviert (Open Water, Nitrox und Korallenpflege).
Unsere Tauchlehrerin Claudia war einfach toll: Sie ist kompetent, erklärt gut und geht individuell auf ihre Schüler*Innen ein. Wir haben uns bei ihr immer super wohl und sicher gefühlt! Die Tauchgänge waren spektakulär und wir durften so viel sehen und lernen.
Es hat einfach riesigen Spass gemacht und wir wissen, dass wir bald wieder nach Makunudu kommen werden und weitere Kurse bei Claudia absolvieren!
Auch Kadi, Caiful und Gaia waren echt super nett und hilfsbereit und wir freuen uns auch riesig sie alle bald wieder zu sehen!
Wer sicher und gut begleitet Tauchen lernen möchte, ist bei Claudia definitiv an der richtigen Adresse!
Besonders toll ist die Tatsache, dass es auf Makunudu eine ehrenamtlich durch die Tauchschule geführte Nursery für Korallen gibt. Mit viel Liebe, Leidenschaft und Eigeninitiative wird dieses Projekt betrieben. Wir haben den Extra Kurs belegt und haben unsere eigene Koralle adoptiert, zwei etwas grössere Korallen “gepflanzt” und die Korallen gereinigt. Das zusätzliche Wissen, dass wir erwerben durften ist super interessant und es bietet uns Tauchern die Möglichkeit Verantwortung für die Riffe zu übernehmen und mitzutragen. Eine echt super Sache!

I did 20 dives during my stay at Makunudu and I am 100% satisfied with Dive Ocean.
I had the chance to dive at least once with all the guides and it was always a great experience.
They have been great in selecting the spots, managing the groups and being able to provide beautiful experiences to everyone while of course keeping us safe.
The boat staff and the snorkeling guides were great as well!
Also, I believe I witnessed some kind of miracle, as they turned my wife from an OWD with fear of depths into a diving enthusiast with AOWD!
If you stay at Makunudu Resort, I definitely recommend you go diving with them, or your could never have a full experience! – via

Marco, Elena and Fabio have been great teachers and leaders to my diving expeditions in Makunudu. During my stay, I have achieved the Advanced Open Water certification and made an additional six dives after that.
The team has been seamless in answering my questions, putting up with my anxiousness about a few aspects and reviews of the Advanced course (especially deep dives and flooding the mask) and sharing their love of the sea and the flora and fauna within it. Plus, they are extremely kind, fun and approachable persons.
I left Makunudu feeling more assured and aware as a diver and with a renewed interest towards getting to know the sea even better. Last but not least, I hope to dive with Marco, Elena and Fabio again! – via

The dives with Fabio and Marco were top notch. After a scuba review on the house reef on the first day, we were taken to a reef every morning by dhoni. The dive sites were chosen according to the weather, depending on the current the dive was adjusted so that we could usually drift relaxed with the current. Since there were only a few divers on the island, the groups were small, several times only the two of us dived with Fabio. There was a lot to see: reef sharks, nurse sharks, stingrays, eagle rays and devil rays, turtles and many other fish, corals and snails.
The service was great, the diving equipment was brought to the dhoni in the morning and then washed for us.
We felt very comfortable in our bungalow, and we can only emphasize the service and quality here and in the bar and restaurant. Due to the monsoon season, it rained again and again and was windy, but it stayed nice and warm, the sun showed up every day with one exception.
An all-round successful holiday, which we like to think back on.

Der Service war prima, die Tauchausrüstung wurde morgens auf das Dhoni gebracht und danach für uns gewaschen.
In unserem Bungalow haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch hier und in Bar und Restaurant können wir den Service und die Qualität nur hervorheben. Aufgrund der Monsunzeit hat es immer wieder geregnet und war windig, dabei bleibt es schön warm, die Sonne hat sich bis auf eine Ausnahme jeden Tag gezeigt.
Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub, an den wir sehr gerne zurückdenken.

Einfach perfekt. Ein Tauchgang hier ist ein Muss in jedem Urlaub. Die Unterwasserwelt ist einfach super beeindruckend. Gerade dann, wenn der Tauchlehrer noch super ist, macht es umso mehr Spaß.
