I completed an open water and Nitrox 40% combined course with Aotearoa Dive SSI with no diving experience. The dive instructors at SSI are super knowledgeable, supportive, and fun. Which makes you feel safe in a sometimes foreign and challenging environment underwater. It’s a really cool opportunity to meet new people, learn a new life skill, and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Massive thank you to everyone at the Aotearoa Dive SSI Team, I really enjoyed my time throughout the dives. – via

Just completed an SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility course with Aotearoa Dive. The course was fantastic, the site at night (Lake Rotoma) was as spooky as hell, and so completely different from the daytime which made for awesome diving. Scott Cooper our instructor is a legend, always Professional, friendly and informative but with a focus on divers’ safety, thanks Scott. Thanks too to my dive buddy Arthur. – via

This dive shop is wonderful! My wife and I had planned a trip to New Zealand and Australia, and I needed to finish my 4 Open Water Dives to complete my Open Water Certification. The stars aligned with Aotearoa Dive because they were able to accommodate our very specific dates perfectly, were willing to finish my instruction as an international referral diver, and had the teaching approach I was looking for. From the moment we walked into the shop (and before via email as well), Renee and Bev made us feel right at home – offering us coffee & tea, easy conversation, thorough introductions, and info about their shop and mission. My previous theory & pool sessions with a different dive shop were a bit rocky, and I was pretty nervous to finish my open water dives. But Renee was super supportive and really brought out my confidence when diving. For my wife and I, Renee also went above and beyond by guiding us around Rotorua as we drove to the dive sites, explaining the history of the area and people, and even packing us homemade lunch! Bev gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat, things to do, etc – making us feel like super special international family. Their dive services & equipment were top of the line, their shop is clean & tidy, and we had absolutely everything we needed. Totally trust them. Will be recommending this shop and these two gems of people in particular to everybody we know! Thanks Renee & Bev! – via

I completed my try scuba and then open water certification with Aotearoa Dive. I’ve also just this weekend participated in my first club dive. I absolutely recommend Aotearoa Dive for all of your dive needs. They are supportive, professional and absolutely passionate about what they do ensuring you have a great .experience, feedback and learning ins safe hands. A unique flair regarding indigenous New Zealand foundations and principles which you will not see anywhere else in the world. So good!!! – via
