If you’re in Horta and want to go scuba diving, there is no better place than Dive Azores. I had a pretty traumatic experience scuba diving with another school and came to finish my open water course with Joana. It couldn’t have been a better experience. Joana is extremely knowledgeable and I’m pretty convinced that she was a fish in another life. She is the best, and I couldn’t recommend Dive Azores more ?? – via google

We participated to a whalewatching tour where we had the opportunity to see different species of whales and dolphins. Joana was a perfect guide, she gave us introduction about the species before getting on the boat and while doing the tour. They also offer rain jackets and seasick medication if needed. Decepcionada! Nuestra ilusión era poder ver el tiburón azul, así que ya en Junio empezamos a planear nuestra visita a Faial, contactamos con el centro para poder tener margen de días para realizar la inmersión, así que amablamente nos agendaron un día y teníamos dos de margen por si había cambios meteorológicos ( cosa que es de entender) conclusión nunca se nos informó que era necesario un número mínimo de personas… así que una vez llegados ahí insitu no hay grupo, pero nos comentan que ven si al día siguiente o el otro, total nada esperanzas para nada. Me hubiese gustado la verdad de frente con una reserva de mas de un mes de antelación sabiendo que veníamos a eso, eso nos hubiese permitido tiempo de reacción; no dos días esperando una llamada que no llegó.
El trato al cliente MUY mejorable!
No lo recomiendo.
Soy instructora he trabajado en centros y así no se atiende a un cliente.

Un grand merci à Joana et Tiago ainsi qu’à tout le personnel.
Équipe agréable, bienveillante et souriante.

J’ai eu l’opportunité de voir des baleines pour la première fois et ça m’a énormément plu, je ne parle pas anglais, mais ce ne fut pas un problème car Joana et Tiago on pris le temps de traduire tout ce qu’ils avaient dit et de m’expliquer. J’ai appris quelques curiosités concernants les baleines et leurs mode de vie.
Suite à cette excursion d’observation de baleine, j’ai eu envie d’en voir davantage et je leurs ai fait part de mon envie de découvrir la plongé sous-marine, n’ayant aucune expérience de plongé, ils m’ont proposé de commencer par le snorkeling.
Pour le snorkeling, j’étais un peu nerveuse, je n’avais jamais utilisé des palmes ni le tuba, je sais nager mais j’ai l’habitude de nager en eau douce, sans l’agitation des vagues donc c’était très stressant pour moi mais ils ont su me mettre à l’aise et tout s’est très bien passé.
Pour finir, le jour de faire ma première plongée sous-marine arriva. J’étais terrifié, malgré la formation en ligne et toutes les explications fourni, j’avais peur de ne pas réussir à tout gérer, une fois dans l’eau c’était la panique totale, petite crise d’angoisse, j’avais du mal à respirer avec l’oxygène, j’avais l’impression de manquer d’air, je commençais à regretter mon choix. Je ne me suis pas senti jugée, au contraire je me suis senti accueillie, ils ont su me rassurer et m’ont laissé prendre le temps nécessaire pour me calmer et m’habituer à respirer avec l’oxygène, lorsque je me sentais suffisamment a l’aise on a commencé à descendre.
Tiago est resté avec moi tout le long et il m’aidait pendant que nous étions sous l’eau, je lui tenais le bras, ça me rassurait. Sous l’eau tout devient très paisible, c’était magnifique, une expérience incroyable. Je n’aurais pas pu rêver mieux pour cette première expérience. Merci infiniment.

Eine der besten Erfahrungen in meinem Leben.
Wir sind heute zum ersten Mal getaucht und haben uns sehr sicher und wohl gefühlt, weil die beiden Buddies (Joana and Lionel) immer darauf geachtet haben, dass alles in Ordnung ist, uns aber auch Selbstbewusstsein beim Tauchen gegeben haben.
Die Aufklärung vorher und nachher war einwandfrei und die Atmosphäre sehr entspannt.
Vor und nach dem Tauchgang durften wir auch kostenlos schnorcheln gehen.
Wir haben Unterwasser wunderschöne Fische und sogar einen großen Oktopus gesehen.
80€ scheinen vor allem für Studenten im ersten Moment viel Geld, aber es steckt merklich unglaublich viel Arbeit hinter so einer Tour. Man kriegt professionelles Equipment, jeder hat seine eigene Sauerstoffflasche und jeder hat seinen eigenen Tauchbuddy, sodass Entspannung und Sicherheit garantiert sind.
Ich freue mich schon, wiederzukommen.
