Dinner for 4 celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary! We made a reservation two weeks in advance. It was a buffet! At R290 per person I expected a lavish spread of delicious choices – this was not to be. ?? The soup was cold (I requested someone from the kitchen to fetch our bowls and warm up our soup, which worked out) – unfortunately, the soup was exceptionally salty. The meat choices were tiny fatty pork chops, dry short ribs and Boerewors. Chops were tough and overdone and the ribs were tasteless. No rice! Potato bake had a tasty cheese sauce but potatoes were inedible – mine were completely raw. There was a tasteless and fairly dry pasta option. Boring peas (dried out after being in the warmer too long) and baby carrots with no flavour. ?? Tasteless white bread the only option – no crusty rolls. Boerewors was good and my spouse enjoyed the pap and chakalaka. The salad options were sparse – no tomatoes! Desserts: our guests hoped to have Crème Brûlée but it was finished when we went to serve ourselves. ?? “Black Forest” cake was dry – with no cherries! ?? My spouse didn’t mind the orange pudding – the fresh fruit salad was okay and there was pouring cream. The water wasn’t boiling for my tea so it was warm but not hot! ?? Our guests didn’t complain about the coffee.
I was embarrassed and quite annoyed at a bill of over R1,000 for such a disappointing meal. I could never recommend this restaurant to my family or friends. Sad ?? – via

The location was unbelievable. We had a room that was dead centre on the 3rd floor facing the ocean. OMG, the morning sun ups and the evening lightning storms over the water were too magical to describe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our luggage arrived a day later and they just looked after it at reception for us.
Our bathroom was a little gross: it smelt very damp all the time. It was very clean. Just the smell.
No vegan options at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. You can ofcourse remove the cheese from meals but then the meals are very unfulfilling as there is absolutely no vegan protein. I did ask the hotel months in advance to please have vegan options at brekkie: and only halfway through the stay, were we offered some vegan sausages at brekkie.
So I’d recommend bringing alot of nuts, nut butter, protein bars and shakes for all the vegans. – via

Schon beim betreten des Shops wurden mein Kumpel und ich mit einem freundlichen “Moin” begrüßt. Diese angenehme und in Ägypten eher unübliche Begrüßung hat direkt für eine sehr schöne atmosphäre gesorgt. Wir haben uns direkt gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Tino hat uns den gesamten Ablauf sehr ruhig erklärt.
Auf dem Boot angekommen wurde uns noch die wichtigsten Sachen erklärt und Jeder von uns durfte erst mal 40 Minuten alleine mit ihm tauchen. Dadurch haben wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Erfahrung. Wir kommen gerne wieder. – via
