I arrived at Crystal for my rescue course and left an Instructor.
Oli was in charge of my divemaster training and was a very good teacher.
I worked there for a short time then did my IDC.
I did it with Bob and he was awesome. He really gave us tons of material to nail our exam.
But beyond a good preparation, I really felt he cared about us (the students) and this made all the difference.

Overall Crystal was a very nice place. They succeeded in creating a very social environment through well organized snorkel tests and other events.

The shop is well managed and equipped. They provide computers for everyone which is not the case with every dive shop.

They also do a great job at following the standards for their courses, which is a very safe thing.

Thanks to Cat & George, for giving us our first dive experience! They made the training fun and engaging and the time out at the ocean was great. We was worried about spending a whole day doing this activity with us only on the island for 3 days but it was so worth it! – via

Did courses from AOW till Divemaster with a lot of help from Kelvin! He had both my AOW, Rescue and EFR course witch was all really good and professional. Kelvin also helped me archive my Divemaster by being my mentor throughout the whole experience. Great experience and great help from Kelvin. Thank you again! Recommend strongly. – via

Did my PADI advanced open water here. Was a fairly experienced diver with 30 dives already gained a lot from the experience. They had mostly all the elective dives for advanced diver available. I did the course with Alex and George and both were great. Crystal Dive was also super helpfully flexible – I was sick with a cold one day and was able to delay the rest of the course for a day. The boat was great too. – via

Having never dived before we came here for our open water PADI qualification. Ollie, Chris and Jonas were the best instructors/dive masters we could’ve asked for! We loved being taught by such experienced and friendly people. The whole experience was 11/10, could not recommend this more. The course is reasonably priced, considering the instructor:student ratio, the number of dives they take you on, how helpful/patient they are with you and how fun the whole experience is. I feel so much more confident in the water now, even when things go wrong. Even if you aren’t planning on diving much in the future this course is so worth it, on our training dives we saw eels, multicoloured fish, every type of corral you could ask for and even a pufferfish. A few others saw turtles too, it’s all amazing 🙂 – via

Got my open water and advanced open water certifications with Crystal Dive Shop in Koh Tao and have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience. All instructors were extremely knowledgeable, passionate and professional. Boats were clean and equipment was in working order. The boat crews were also super helpful in providing insight on equipment, helping us with bags, helping us get on the boat and making sure we had plenty of water, tea, coffee, watermelon, pineapple and biscuits readily available.

A big shoutout to my awesome instructor Kelvin Kyaw for being the best scuba teacher I could ask for and for being so patient with me! Would definitely recommend Kelvin and the crystal dive shop to anyone headed to Koh Tao looking to learn more about scuba diving! Already looking forward to coming back! – via

CD has many years of experience and you can see that in all areas. Instructors speak almost every language, for beginners and advanced every dive is an experience. On the boats the staff are incredibly helpful, they see everything and are immediately there when help is needed. Safety first! The dives are amazing. Fresh fruit, biscuits and drinks are always available in sufficient quantities. Every day we visit new dive sites. I’m looking forward to being able to dive with CD for a few more weeks. Best diving school on site. Koh Tao is addictive.

Seit 3 Wochen tauche ich mit Crystal Dive auf Koh Tao fast täglich und freue mich auf die kommenden Wochen. CD ist seit vielen Jahren erfahren und das merkt man in allen Bereichen. Instructors sprechen in fast allen Sprachen, für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene jeder Tauchgang ist ein Erlebnis. Auf den Booten sind die Mitarbeiter unglaublich hilfreich, sie sehen alles und sind sofort zur Stelle wenn Hilfe benötigt wird. Safety first! Die Tauchgänge sind traumhaft. Frische Früchte, Kekse und Getränke sind immer ausreichend vorhanden. Täglich besuchen wir neue Tauchplätze. Ich freue mich noch ein paar Wochen mit CD tauchen zu können. Beste Tauchschule vor Ort. Highly recommend – we were quite nervous about taking diving courses and really wanted to choose a professional school before we got to Thailand. We were happy that we ended up with a very professional yet affordable diving school where you get trained in very small groups. Cat was our instructor, who is highly competent, friendly and patient. Together with Meghan, we were always taken care in groups of 2 in the practical classes. Even if you’re nervous in the beginning, you are trained step by step and we always felt safe and in good hands. Also on the boat, there is competent personal that makes sure you get safely into and out of water. – via

I’ve just had the BEST time completing the Open Water Diving qualification at Crystal with Dav!
Dav is an excellent instructor. He gave easy to understand instructions and explained everything clearly and simply. He made sure everyone in our group felt relaxed and kept everyone (me in particular) calm when under the water doing some of the core skills.

The first half day in the classroom was good to learn the theory and then having a day in the pool was super useful to practice the core skills before getting out to the sea for the four dives. Dav did a great job at preparing us all well for the exam and we all passed!

The free accommodation and the discounts on gear and other courses are a great touch too provided by Crystal!

The rest of the Crystal team were also lovely & very welcoming when we went to watch the Snorkel Test of the newly qualified Dive Masters.

We will be now moving onto the advanced diving course with Dav!

Also big shout out to Billy the dog who is SO adorable and an excellent bonus team member.
