Luis planned the most amazing Costa Rica vacation for us. We went to Tortuguero National Park, Arenal Volcano, Mistico Park Arenal hanging bridges and so many other amazing places. Luis really listened to how we like to travel, most time spent doing things like white water rafting, waterfall rappelling and surfing and less time spent on things like fine dining and luxury hotels. Everything was planned out of us, we just had to wake up and go. This was the most stress free vacation I’ve ever been on. I would definitely let Costa Rica Expeditions plan my next trip. – via

We started working with their guide, Luis Pablo Cubero by email in July for a January trip. We gave him what we want to do and not want to do (e.g ziplines, beaches), and he created a package for our review. After a few exchanges, the trip was planned and set.

They gave us advanced notice of the logistics with each step executed precisely as stated, thus making the entire trip worry-free. They made sure there is a proper handoff from one mode of transportation to the next (car to airport, airport to bus, boat to van) and never left us wondering what to do.

The friendly local guides at each location are highly knowledgeable of the wildlife and plants (they can even give you the Latin names if you want). They have sharp eyes, spotting birds and wildlife in the trees that are well camouflaged.

Food at their own operated lodges (Tortuga, Monteverde) are amazing. The proteins are never overcooked, seafood fresh, and they don’t push any particular food or drinks.

When we go back, we’d go with them again. – via
