I am not well versed in scuba gear but my nephew was interested in getting a wetsuit and new goggles, we figured going to a specialty store would offer help and advice. Well this was not a good experience. First off, we noticed that the store was not well-kept, very disorganized, dusty, and a very dirty fish tank. When directed to the used wetsuits my sister an I were just watched by the workers while we looked through the stock. No offer of help/customer service suggestions to find a proper fitting wet suit, the gentleman there just said you have to dig through and find a size and try it. Then again proceed to just stare at us and not help in any way. They also have used goggles, (excuse me “face masks” we were rudely corrected for the wrong reference) and they were not well kept or labeled with any price. Overall we have never felt so belittled for my lack of knowledge and awkward and uncomfortable for our presence in a store before. I usually love supporting small business, but in this case, I would suggest a different store. – via

Not worth supporting this small business. I bought a snorkel mask from them, went on my trip to Hawaii, the mask totally messed up my nose and when I tried to return it, they wouldn’t take it or offer me any store credit because it was used and because of “COVID.” (Even though by now we are much more informed that the virus can’t live on an object for more than a couple days.)
It’s been two weeks since I returned from my trip and my nose is still healing. They don’t care about making their customers happy in the end, I will be taking my business elsewhere. – via

Not worth supporting this small business. My partner and I took their contained diving course with another new diver and had a great time. This shop was recommended by friends who took the same course. Most importantly, our instructor Bruce ensured we understood and are prepared for open water diving scenarios. We also appreciated his and David’s honest and helpful answers to all our questions about other skills in diving and requests for dive recommendations.
The shop also has underwater communication tablets if you’re having a hard time finding them like I did. Thanks Colorado Scuba Center team for a fun and efficient weekend in the pool! – via

I needed a dive mask with corrective lenses before my trip coming up last minute and the store had plenty of options available. The owner helped me figure out which lenses would best work for my prescription due to my astigmatism and at an affordable price. Though there is some negative reviews due to the owner’s personality, he is very blunt and honest which I respect. If you’re looking for gear and honest advice this is the shop to go to.
