Amazing experience – couldn’t recommend more!
We did two dives around Isla Coiba and saw bull sharks, plenty of reef sharks, a turtle and so much more! Definitely among the best dives we ever had ??
The crew was very helpful with everything and our dive master Damien was amazing: calm, funny, very good English skills and he spent the lunch break talking to us 🙂 also, we felt very safe all the time. We had such a good time – thank you so much ?? – via google

The snorkelling and diving were great, however, the communication/customer service was pretty horrible and really soured the day for me.
I am pregnant (not allowed to dive) so I emailed ahead of time to ask if it was possible for my partner and I to go out together, him to dive and me to snorkel. They said “although we cater more to divers, no problem having a snorkeler along”. When we arrived in the morning, we were told that a group of snorkelers had booked and therefore, there was going to be a separate boat for snorkelers so I couldn’t be on the boat with my partner. When I explained that the whole reason we booked with this company was so that we could spend the day together, the dive master said it’s no big deal because we would just be apart for an hour and then we would spend all the in between time together on the beaches. After 1.5 hours on the beach, my partner’s boat finally arrived and he said they had gone to a separate beach in between dives and were waiting for us there.
So the “1 hour apart” was actually 5.5 hours of which I was alone with a group who all knew each other and didn’t speak the same language as me.
For the 3rd dive, we asked again if I could switch to my partner’s boat and just snorkel where they are diving. The dive master said yes and that this 3rd site is great for both snorkelling and diving. However, once in the boat , they then decided to go to another site. I tried to snorkel on my own there but it was very deep with a current, no visibility and surrounded by jellyfish. So I sat in the boat for 40 mins until the boat drivers went ashore for one to hop off and then I had 5 minutes of snorkelling in a really nice area (not sure why they couldn’t have communicated and taken me there once the divers were off the boat if we were going to go there anyway).
If they had just communicated ahead of time, it would have been different as I am typically happy travelling alone. However, 3 different times they communicated that it would be different and each time they didn’t follow through on their word. – via google

We had a wonderful diving experience with Coiba Dive Center – three dives in Coiba National Park with a depth up to 19 m. Our dive master was really relaxed and competent and told us many amazing stories about diving and the nature during the breaks.

We saw around 20 sharks, sea turtles and thousands of beautiful fish. Our equipment was in good condition, I can’t relate to the reviews that stated something else.

Sufficient snacks and water were provided.

Diving in Coiba National Park is more expensive than e. g. on Bocas del Toro but it is worth every dollar, because you will see so many marine animals.

Did an incredible 9 dives with Coiba Dive Center in Santa Catalina and out of everywhere I’ve been diving, I consider my money and time best spent here. Julie and her son Damian(/Damien? – sorry for the misspell!) were lovely and Damien/Damian was a very helpful guide and instructor prepping us for our day’s trip as we navigated the beauty of Coiba National Park. Panamá has quite the treasure here and it’s very important it remains protected and maintained for their very special marine life. One of the best to protect it is to visit the park with knowledgeable folk like Coiba Dive Center. We received good thorough briefings everyday and their team was really great also helping to spot whales and dolphins! What a beautiful experience.
I will always dream of this place and I was very happy to have visited from Canada! So glad we chose this place and Coiba Dive Centre and hope to be back someday, soon. Many thanks from us!
