5.0/ 5

(Translated by Google) Chobe National Park is not to be missed when in Botswana. Its fauna and the whole park are simply amazing. It is worth combining the safari with a visit on the Chobe River. I was enchanted by the sight of the riverside scenery, crocodiles, hippos, birds, elephants, lions, impalas and other animals on the shore. A life changing experience.

– via google

3.0/ 5

(Translated by Google) After half a dozen national parks in South Africa and Namibia, we were excited to see the Chobe as well. But so self-drive the park is a disaster! 80% of the information signs are dirty, washed off or the stones have even fallen over. Since Google maps doesn’t work there either, we got lost several times (one lane suddenly suddenly goes in 3 different directions), even with a 4×4 we hardly got out of the bushes and scratched the rental car badly. In the north at the River Front there was only one old, run-down picnic site. Otherwise, peeing is unfortunately not in it. There is no other rest stop! At least the hordes of elephants on the river bank calmed us down a bit in the afternoon. For the fact that the admission prices have been raised, we are disappointed with the overall impression.

– via google
