Captain Ken was our guide for two days. I hire a guide for 3 main reasons. To learn local water, learn new baits and techniques and also hopefully to catch fish. My partner and I are experienced musky anglers so we can pretty easily tell by talking with someone and watching them whether they are legit or not. I am happy to say Captain Ken checks all the boxes. His boat and equipment are very well maintained. His knowledge of Muskie fishing is tremendous. He is also very flexible and a very gracious host. If you are a new Muskie angler or a newbie you will benefit greatly from fishing with Captain Ken. A day with him on the water can lessen your learning curve exponentially. Just wrapped up a full-day chasing Musky on the New River with Ken. What a great day on the water! Ken walked us through all the steps we would need to make sure we covered the water in search of a giant. He was super helpful, friendly, and just overall fun with fish with! Fishing aboard what some might call the “Ferrari” of shallow water jet boats was just a bonus, blasting up the river at 45 MPH+.
