I was down in Veradero Cuba for a week with my step-dad, and took some time to re-learn to Kite Surf. I’ve had a number of days of training a few years ago in various places -from Cabarete to Key West, and of course Canada. My skill level is still basic but I want to comment that the people in the school here are very friendly and I learned a great deal from the one day (~3 hours) of training. From increasing my kiting skills, body dragging in the water and learning to de-power gradually as you rise out of the water (so you don’t fall forward into the water). The tips given to me definitely gave me an increased level of confidence that I will go to the next level when I can get out again in Canada.
A great place to learn the basics, trial for a day to see if you might take up the sport, etc. And also cost effective down here.
Thanks Again!!!!
Some Notes: there is a Hop-on/Hop-off bus that runs constantly from the hotels to Veradaro. The kite area I went to was at 37th street and Beach road (exit bus at 36 st. stop). The bus is $5 USD for unlimited uses per day. Taxi’s were $20 USD and lots of old cars are available. We got a 1927 Ford convertible. – via

I can’t recommendend high enough. A great bunch of guys! I was amazed at their skill but more importantly their honesty and integrity.
Great teachers and genuine friendly people who want to share their love of the sport. I wish I’d had more time to learn but it was a great taster. I will continue to learn and hope to go back and ride with Julio, Ubi and the guys one day.

Friendly, encouraging and chill instructors, teaching in the bluest waters. Laid back vibe, good equipment, I had so much fun! Two days of lessons and I’m definitely considering going back for more. It wasn’t as easy as they make it look, but it will remain as one of my most favourite water sports I’ve tried to this date! Highly recommend!! – via

Amazing experience with this KiteSurf School. I rented a KiteSurf gear and was very satisfied with the service.
I was in Varadero in January and it was windy 5 days out of 7, the spot is very flat and the wind usually picks up at 2pm.
The instructors are very welcoming, it was very hard to leave Varadero with the experience I had with them. – via

Would highly recommend this school if you’re visiting Varadero.
Prepare yourself for some great time on the water and good memories – via

Best kitesurfing in Cuba, hands down!
I’m a very experienced kite-surfer who’s been traveling all over the world, meeting locals, trying spots and discovering the local lifestyle. Traveled to Cuba my first time November 2022 and had a walk on the beach my first day to scope out the spots. As I came to the guys running this kite center I was immediately greated with a positive and welcoming attitude and friendly local vibe, which is very much appreciated. I was informed where I could kite, if there are any obstacles or other things to take in to account and informed about other spots on the island. All around very friendly and fun vibe.
They teach most days and have plenty of foreign visitors wanting to take classes. The spot where they teach is perfect with not too much people, fairly shallow water far out and good wind most days in the windy season. All the guys teach with patience and experience and for me being an experienced kiter I was always welcomed to kite at the same spot and included in the local vibe. Excellent vibe on the beach, hanging out, talking, laughing and exchanging experiences and knowledge.
Don’t miss to kite at this spot with the local kitesurfers or just come down and hang out, everyone is always welcomed..
Can’t wait to come back again amigos, muchas gracias! – via

If you want to learn how to kitesurf, is this school the best solution for you.
It has perfect location with shallow water and sandy beach, which is not crowded and it is safe for learning. It has the best teacher, who is experienced, friendly, patient, adaptive, available at any time. It has the best equipment for the beginners. It has flexible schedule, that depends on the wind – if the wind blows all day, the course takes place all day.
But I have to warn you..think carefully, before you go kitesurfing, because you can become addicted with it, like I am. 😉 It is the best sport! 🙂 – via
