Complete waste of time and money! I paid for 2 full tanks 2 dives and extra for a refresh being already certified. First dive was a complete joke lasted 15/20 min and we were only around the shore at 9meters max seeing completely nothing all the time we all came back with almost full tanks. Instructors were rushing to get the whole thing done in only a few hours and happy they only used one tank for the dives. Didn’t do Tayrona as agreed we only stayed near the main beach with a tiny old boat and people getting sea sick. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere in Santa Marta for a reputable and honest diving school. Worse place ever! – via

Can not recommend. Did the advanced open water diver here. Instructor was good but organisation of the company was terrible. Most unsatisfying part for me were, that dives were not done as agreed to. For example no wreck dive even so it was agreed on and the “current dive” was more a joke than a “current dive”. “5 dives” with 4 diving bottles . Despite expressions of dissatisfaction, nothing was done to address this – via

Completed my open water cert with Caribbean pro dive shop. This was my second attempt after a terrible experience in Thailand made me abandon the process. This time the experience couldn’t have been more different. Caesar was so chilled and helpful on day one when we practiced the basics and Kieran was brilliant on day two where we had to perform the skills ourselves. Excellent communication with the shop about meeting times and directions. Such good value too. Can’t recommend enough. – via

– via

I did an Open Water with Caribbean Pro and it was a good experience overall.
I did 3x dives on the first day and unfortunately I felt really cold after the first dive which made it difficult to focus for learning all the new skills and it was also less enjoyable.
Many people where freezing so they maybe should advise for tighter/thicker wetsuits.
Instructions on the first day were too briefly during the bumpy ride to the spot. For people doing their first scuba dive ever this might be a bit scary. It’s would be better to receive the instructions when the boat is anchored.
Second day was much better with a thicker wetsuit and very good instructions from Tomas when the boat was anchored.
If you feel uncertain don’t just go ahead in the water but actively demand for instructions again in the boat. – via

(Translated by Google) This qualification is due to the poor organization/planning of the person in charge at Caribbean Pro. The diving was good and the instructor was very friendly and calm.
I lasted 5 days planning the dive with the person in charge, who confirmed that my girlfriend (not certified) and I (certified) were going to have a dive together. When we were inside the boat, they informed us that I couldn’t do the deep diving and that I had to choose whether to go with my girlfriend in one boat or with the certified divers in another.
In the end they told me that they had “forgotten” to notify me the day before and they returned me 20 thousand pesos. If they had warned me a day before that I could not do the diving as we had organized, I would go to Taganga where another school had already confirmed that we could do what we wanted to do.
In the end, a bad experience with an unreliable school.

– via
