Unfortunately after dealing with the management and staff of this resort I would never step foot in this place until there’s a change. We booked a trip via Expedia in November for January Christmas break. We had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. WELL within the free cancellation period!
Good luck canceling with these people. Their cancelation policy and process is so seedy (or non existent). First of all, they charged a full night’s accommodation upon booking …and it appears now they tried to keep it as a cancellation fee ($377.00 USD)!!! Then they tried to either a) not answer emails or phone calls or b) blamed Expedia for the mistake, even though it clearly shows that Camelback took the money out on visa. Even now I’m still trying to recover the $377 they clearly took out on my visa.
The only answer I got was when I requested a manager (Marshall) who stated again that their policy is to charge $100 US??! No matter when you cancel a reservation with them?? I’ve never heard of this kind of extortionate practice, and I’ve had to cancel ski trips quite a few other times due to weather or other circumstances. Marshal also denied that they took the $377.00 but lo and behold their name camelback resort is right on my visa statement.
It seems the whole resort management must have a carnival scammers mind set. Ridiculous. I would have re booked with them and gladly spent my money there, but now they can keep my hundred bucks, and never see a dime from me again. Avoid this place at all costs, they apparently can’t wait to sink their claws into your wallet even as soon as you book. – via
