On a holiday in Byron Bay this February and decided to finally try scuba diving so I booked the introductory course, no one else was there in the morning so I had a 1 on 1 session. I was honestly blown away, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, it was like being in another world. The team at BBDC made me feel welcome, they acted in a professional manner and made learning easy. Thanks to Gian who I had a 1 on 1 session with, she had plenty of knowledge and experience, making my time learning effortless and pleasant. Once we were out at the dive site and took the plunge, descending into the nursery, what was the unknown quickly became once of the most incredible environments anyone could be in. I started off by seeing a turtle a wide variety of fish and even some crays. It wasn’t long before I was swimming with Leopard sharks and the coolest of all I giant manta rays.
I would highly recommend BBDC to anyone starting out or even experienced divers, I could not thank you guys enough. I will be back one day for sure. – via

Had 2 x dives with BBDC on Friday. The first one, with Brad as our guide was amazing! He is very experienced, showed us all the good spots, took his time and chatted with us the whole time. Very happy with Brad and that first dive.
The 2nd dive however was with a french backpack (cant remember name). He was just going through the motions, didnt really care and looked to me like he was just there to make up hours. Not impressed at all. We paid for a guide and he looked lost and didnt really know where to take us or where he was going.
If you are diving with these guys, ask for one of the older guides and not the back packer ones who are there to ram in their DM hours. – via
