My partner Jos and I have just finished our Open Water and Drysuit training with Bolton Area Divers, and are still buzzing from it, especially the last dive at Capenwray which was brilliant. There are other ways to do PADI, but we’re so happy we chose to do it with this lovely club. We had a range of instructors over the various sessions. All of them are passionate divers and know what they’re talking about, but more than that, everyone is really friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about their teaching and their students. I completed my open water yesterday and wanted to give a little feedback.
All the staff have been amazing.
The entire team manage to mix the necessary amount of professionalism, with their own passion, and made the whole course both fun and informative.
From the classroom and pool sessions in Bolton, to the open water in Capernwray with Mark and Mike, every minute was worth every penny.
I’m so glad I chose to learn with Bolton Area Divers rather than learn abroad! Now i can go and holiday and practice my new skills!!

We gained our Open Water qualifications with Bolton Area Divers and the experience was absolutely first class. From early communications before undertaking the course, through classroom theory and pool sessions and all the way through our open water dives, every single member of the club has been incredible. Everyone is friendly, helpful, diligent and great fun and it made the process of learning to scuba dive so much more fulfilling than we could have imagined! Thoroughly enjoyed a Discover Scuba Diving taster session here on Saturday. Very informative and interesting covering all the basics before venturing into the pool to put it all into practice. Instructors, Tony, Alex and Alex were easy to understand, knew what they were talking about and made it all very easy and therefore enjoyable, leaving at the end of the day with a want to return to do the next stage. Wetsuit hire was a reasonable £5 although I had my own and all other equipment was included and you even got a brew. – via

Staff seemed polite and helpful when booking onto the course over the phone. They took a £150 deposit payment and a few contact details initially and informed me I’d receive further information shortly.
Following this I received no information or materials from them for over a fortnight. In this time I had a change of circumstances meaning I was no longer living in Manchester and unable to attend the dates.
After attempting to contact them to discuss this matter they did not respond for a week before sending through my enrollment form and agreement less than 12 hours before the course was due to start, seemingly oblivious to any of my correspondence.
Nowhere on the website does it state the deposit is non refundable and due to the agreement document being sent through so late I hadn’t had any opportunity to read or sign it.
They have since refused to return my deposit in spite of their complete lack of communication and understanding have now stopped responding to my emails. A really disappointing attitude from what at surface appears to be a well reputed independent company. – via

Ok let me first start with this dive center is the best that we ever met. We use Bali Diventure service every single time we go to Bali for diving.
1. Bli Agung Anom is the most kind DM I’ve ever met.
2. He knows all the best spot and condition that we go to (tulamben, amed, nusa penida, menjangan)
3. You will be like a king, they prepare every single equipment for your dive
4. Patient
5. The best of all he take pictures… pictures from a single dive can go to 40-60 pict. And you can use it for your profile picture for many years to come
