At Blue Dive we had a fantastic experience! After not diving for a while, we booked a private dive with a divemaster for two. It was perfect, with personal guidance both above and below water. Our guide Jamie welcomed us warmly and took the time to discuss our diving experience and expectations. During the boat trip he shared fascinating information about the Great Barrier Reef and the coral as he guided us on our three dives, respecting our pace and keeping us safe. He knew how to point out the most beautiful coral and species. On the way back Jamie showed us some photos he had taken underwater (both of the beautiful underwater world and of us diving)! The boat trip with the ‘Silver Sonic’ was also perfectly organised, with excellent safety measures and catering. It was simply amazing! – via

My boyfriend and sister in law took their advanced certificates with Jamie at Blue Dive, while my brother and I dove with our partners and Jamie during the course. We all had a great experience and have nothing but amazing things to say about Jamie. He took great care of us all! He is very knowledgable, chill and a great instructor and guide. We had an amazing time diving with Jess from Blue Dive! The dives were wonderful and all of the details were handled well. Our family had an outstanding time with Jamie as our private diving guide. He really went above and beyond to take care of us. Especially, his approach with my daughter, a junior open water diver, was amazing. He made sure every piece was a learning experience was incredible. He taught us so much about the reef and all of the sea life we saw. He was also very patient and helpful with our 10 year old, as she’s a new diver, that was really helpful and reassuring that we were in great and safe hands. I definitely recommend this diving company, particularly Jamie, for both experienced and beginner divers who want a personalized experience on the Great Barrier Reef. He also took breathtaking pictures for us, which we’ll appreciate for many years. – via

AMAZING. I put 2 of my kids into Blue Dive’s PADI courses and the Blue Dive service was outstanding. Firstly, Mark bent over backwards to accommodate our changing needs – thank you for your patience. Terence took our diving classes and he was simply brilliant. We really enjoyed his company and he was super professional at the same time. Teaching kids a series of complex tasks is not everybody’s cup of tea, but Terence was up for it. Patient, kind and very experienced and knowledgeable. Thanks Blue Dive. Whether you are a beginner diver or are on your 1,000 dive, Blue Dive are worth every penny.
You could go out on a regular package on one of the boats out to the reef, but Blue Dive really take it to the next level. You travel on the regular boats (e.g Silversonic) but you have your own private guide for the day.
You meet at the dock and everything is already taken care of. On the boat you can relax and then you get to do 3 dives, tailored to exactly what you want to do, with your private dive guide.
If you like diving on your own agenda, in a small group, then it is worth paying the small amount extra to dive with these guys.
Our guide was Teddy and he was amazing. We got to see everything we wanted and our group was just myself, my wife and Teddy. Much better than the default group size of one guide to 8 divers !
You don’t get to dive on the GBR every day – so treat yourself to a trip with Blue Dive, you won’t regret it !! – via

Great Choice for Beginner Divers.
I strongly recommend Blue Dive and in particular Teddy Lawrenson as our personal dive master. My son and I are recently PADI certified and only have 6 open water dives.
We booked a personal dive master with Blue Dive. Teddy was great. He not only provided us a great dive, but helped give us a series of great beginner tips and suggestions. We also appreciated his humour. Throughout it was clear to us that he takes diving seriously and kept safety always in the front of our minds.
Teddy also brought along a dive camera and took pictures of us and the marine life that we got to keep.
The full day dive with 3 dives on the GBR will not be forgotten. – via

Our family booked an introdution dive day with Blue Dive who offer a personalized and professional three dive day on the Barrier Reef. Our host Roman was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to dive with. He greeted us at the marina in the morning and guided us through the paperwork and settled us into our reserved area on the vessel for the trip to the reef. Roman’s diving brief was expertly and entertainingly delivered so we were all confident in what was to be expected during the dives. The setup for the dive was very well run, not rushed or fought through as can occur with other operators. Roman had my two kids (15 and 17) who had never dived, run through the Safety skills after entering the water with absolutely no stress. They felt confident and well instructed which laid the foundation for a set or three awesome dives. Roman was extremely professional and focused on our well being and enjoyment of the reef environment. At all times we felt safe and confident. We saw everything we expected on the dives and the kids were truly enthused to pursue diving further thanks to Roman’s exceptional guiding and instruction. I could not rate our experience higher, if you are looking for a fantastic family or small group diving expedition to the Barrier Reef, Blue Dive will deliver you a truly world class personalized experience. 6 out of 5 stars. – via
