I have never felt more welcome outside my own home. My boyfriend and I had the best experience at Blacktip Scuba. Miguel, Julia and Dailos were absolutely amazing people. Both professional, sweet and funny. The diving experiences were fantastic and we saw, among other things, sharks!! they serve free lunch after your dive and you are only a small group out diving at a time, so there is plenty of attention on the individual people. Would recommend anyone who wants to dive on Phi Phi to dive with Blacktip Scuba ?? – via

we wrote to blacktip scuba the day before we arrived in the phi phi islands, as my girlfriend and I wanted to take the open water advanced course. we were both very impressed that it could be done at such short notice. when we arrived at phi phi we were unfortunately delayed by a few hours but again blacktip scuba were really nice and helpful and it was no problem. we were greeted by the sweetest people you could ever imagine. we had Dailos as an instructor, but also Miguel and Julia gave us the best experience we could possibly imagine. the place is really professional and takes safety very seriously. we felt safe during the whole training and all our dives. our instructor Dailos was really good at explaining everything to us. besides that, there is just a very special fantastic atmosphere in the store, and we feel our experience was very personal. we would recommend blacktip scuba to anyone coming to phi phi and considering diving. 5 big stars out of 5 from here – via

– via

If you’re looking to dive in this area of Thailand, Long Beach and Blacktip Scuba is the place to be!
Escape the craziness (and the crowded dive boats) of Tonsai Bay and stay on Long Beach instead. You’ll be just 20 minutes away from more than a dozen excellent dive sites – the same ones that dive boats from Krabi and Phuket travel up to 2 hours to reach.
The crew at Blacktip are exceptional. All instructors, all very friendly and all in love with the ocean!
I took my Advanced course here and I was glad I did, despite having issues with one particular skill. Dailos and Julia were both very kind and I was able to get over the problem with their help.
My partner (who is a DM) and I were both impressed with the team’s dedication to safety. They do everything by the book and the shop is all the better for it. The equipment is in great condition and seemed new.
Group sizes are small, something else we really liked. You’ll be treated as an individual here, not just a number.
I did six dives total, with my partner able to join four of them. We were alone most of the time, with just one diver joining us on two dives.
We really loved the flexibility and local knowledge of the team. They knew exactly where to go for a quieter dive.
The snorkelling at Long Beach is great too – Dailos told us the area where we may be able to see a leopard shark and we managed to find it! We also saw many blacktip sharks and eels.
If you’re considering doing your Open Water in Thailand (or Advanced), I’d highly recommend Blacktip Scuba. In addition to everything already mentioned, they have an amazing beachfront infinity pool for refreshers/lessons.
We stayed at Bluesky Bungalows and it was 10 minutes walk to the shop. – via

An incredible experience ?? All the staff are super friendly and attentive. I booked it with very little notice and, even so, they adapted so that I could do the course in the pool, which I greatly appreciate.
Ana, my instructor, was very attentive to us at all times during the dive and she showed us the fauna, we even saw a leopard shark!
And to finish, a delicious meal after the whole morning in the water to discuss the experience with the rest.

This is an amazing dive shop. We have had the luxury of diving in many places around the world, and the dive professionals at Blacktip rival them all. Dailos, Anna, Julia and Miguel are exceptionally welcoming and skilled. They speak five different languages, making this melting pot location friendly for all. Thank you all so much for the memories! We give you our highest recommendation and endorsement. Joseph & Pamela – via

The diving center is in the hotel complex of The Beach Resort and in front of an absolutely dream beach with a coral reef in front of the door. We snorkeled here for hours with probably over 30 different species of fish and if you swim a little further you can also see a lot of sharks at “Shark Point” during the high tide.
The people at the dive center were super relaxed and fun. It was a lot of fun with them on the diving and snorkeling tour on the neighboring island of Phi Phi Leh (known for Maya Bay “The Beach”) as well as during the conversations in between when we came back from the beach. They were very helpful and provide you with good information about the local marine life or if, like us, you are unlucky and step into one of the many sea urchins despite warning: drink beer and break the spines in your foot with a stone 😉 -via
