Carolyn and all workers are nice, genuine, fun and helpful! I highly suggest. With the personal tours you can do activities fit for your liking and time. You are not on a time limit and can enjoy as long or as little as you like. Carolyn is so knowledgeable and fun! I would HIGHLY recommend. – via google

If you are having ANY doubts about booking with them, don’t hesitate! The snorkeling was the highlight of our trip! We loved it so much we were considering doing it again before we left. They have their own private boat that we went out on and were allowed to snorkel as long as we wanted! It was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Buckley and another gentleman, I’m so sorry I can’t recall his name at the moment. We also did the Blue hole excursion with Tony. He was also very kind and showed us a little spot that most of the other tours weren’t doing. It was gorgeous! We also did the hike with Harry and learned so much from him about the plants and local life. He cut us fresh sugar cane and even helped me when I was being attacked by mosquitos by finding me a lemongrass plant. Our driver Loxley was also very friendly and provided us with tons of information and history as we drove to our excursions. He also didn’t mind stopping and letting us get some beef patties and some other local goodies. When we come back to Jamaica we will definitely be booking again! – via google

Had such a fun time last week snorkelling with Carolyn! Carolyn is very knowledgeable about Jamaica and the ocean, often showing us and letting us hold fun sea creatures she finds on the sea floor. They pick you up and drop you off from your hotel, let you snorkel for as long as you would like and have plenty of drinks to keep you hydrated and energized! Would highly recommend – via google

JUST BOOK THE TOUR.

We went on a snorkeling tour with Carolyn in October. We had an incredible experience. Carolyn picked us up from the resort herself and taught us about the different parishes as we drove from Negril to Montego Bay. Her sailboat is wonderful and very welcoming. Her first mate knows his stuff and you can tell she genuinely cares very deeply about her staff.

We snorkeled at Airport Reef and Fish Pond reef. She really does mean it when she says you can stay as long as you like. Fish Pond reef was one of the most active reefs I have seen. It was teeming with life and sea creatures galore. She taught us about the different stages of coral, showing examples of each stage and about different fish/creatures.

We left just in time to watch a thunderstorm pass through as we made our way back to the dockyard. I had mentioned always wanting to try a Jamaican patty and she was happy to take us to Mother’s to do just that.

Carolyn is one of the most interesting humans I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is spunky, humorous, and rough around the edges. Her life story is inspiring and honestly pretty epic. (You should write an autobiography, Carolyn!). We will never forget our day with her. – via google

We spent a day snorkeling with Carolyn and had a fabulous time. It was completely different from the super touristy 2 hour outings – Carolyn is a fascinating person with lots of interesting stories and a wealth of information about Jamaica. We were fortunate to see a ton of fish and really enjoyed exploring the reef. You can’t find a better tour. – via google

FANTASTIC experience! Will definitely book more tours in the future on our next trip to Jamaica.

Carolyn was very quick to respond to our emails for booking, and so nice. Our driver Loxley was polite and professional, and gave us a wonderful tour and history lesson about the island on our drive to Secret Falls and Blue Hole.

The Blue Hole was BEAUTIFUL and not too crowded. Our tour guide made sure we had a fabulous time and took a ton of photos and videos for us on my phone. I have terrible eyesight, so on the portions I had to remove my glasses to prepare for a jump, the guide held my hand and directed where to put my feet, I felt safe and taken care of the whole time. The jumps were so much fun, the water was clean and clear and refreshing.

We also took a tubing tour, it was a nice relaxing treat after the adrenaline of jumping off waterfalls! Our guide was just as fabulous, he made sure we stayed safe on the river and pointed out interesting native plants and wildlife. We had a blast singing Bob Marley songs together and talking about the culture on the island.

Our drive home was a wonderful way to unwind. Our driver Loxley made a few pit stops for us and we appreciated the chance to see the “real” Jamaica beyond the resort. We were on our honeymoon and the resort was terrible- this excursion with Barret Adventures was the stand out of our trip and really made the experience worthwhile.

All in all- I would give this service 10 stars if I could! Will 1000% book another trip with them in the future, and will absolutely recommend to anyone we know traveling to Jamaica. Thank you so much, Carolyn and Loxley! – via google

We found Barrett Adventures via a travel blog and are so happy we reached out to Carolyn. We booked Mayfield Falls, Mt. Valley and the Bird Sanctuary and all of it was amazing! Mark was our travel guide and he was so welcoming and had so much knowledge to share of the island.
By the end of a long travel day, he felt like family.

Since the areas are off the beaten path you pretty much get a private tour- we had Mayfield Falls 100% to ourselves and it was such a beautiful place! Be prepared for a party at Mt. Valley and peace and quiet at the bird sanctuary with hummingbirds that will land on your finger.

We were so happy to get off the resort and explore the island- I highly recommend Barrett Adventures and the places to visit. – via google

If you’re wanting to learn something of the island or have a fantastic sail and or snorkeling trip, this is the place for you!!! No joke, Carolyn was amazing at showing us the coral reef and pointing out the different fish and sea creatures. She is very knowledgeable on all things relating to the island and the ocean surrounding it. If I ever get the chance to go back to Jamaica, I definitely will be using Carolyn again! – via google

We had an amazing time at the end of September 2022 on a snorkeling trip out to the reef on their 42′ sailboat. The crew was kind, funny, and so helpful, even swimming with us to show us all the different sea life. Scenery was beautiful. We were not rushed and could have snorkeled as long as we liked. Transport was easy. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Book a trip today! – via google
