I booked a one-on-one guiding session and was so happy with it that I came back the next day. Booking through WhatsApp was very responsive and efficient. My guide Sonny is an expert reader of the ocean and knew where to paddle to catch the waves away from the crowd. A few times, Sonny would suddenly tell me to paddle out hard before huge sets suddenly came in and wiped out the inattentive surfers. I was pretty grateful that wasn’t me
The beginners in the rest of the group also looked very happy with their session!

*EDIT* 5 months later: I came back to Bali and booked 3 privates with Sonny again. He took me to so amazing reef breaks, only accessible by boat, and kept me safe when I struggled with paddling back out (I have been out of practice haha) Will keep coming back! – via

Our 3-day course with Bali Green Surf was all around great. All of our instructors, including Jojo, Kaku, Agus, were extremely friendly, helpful and made the learning progress a lot of fun. We will hopefully be back for the intermediate course soon! – via

We’ve had two lessons with Jojo as our instructor, and hands down – this is the best surf school, with the best instructors in Seminyak. The energy with the instructors is just right, the teaching is clear, precise and safe. Jojo is incredibly patient and a great teacher, a real asset to the school. I’d never touched a board prior to these lessons, now I’ve managed to catch my own wave and feel confident in the water thanks to these guys. If you’re wondering which surf school to go with in Bali, this is the one! – via
