Ich kann das Tauchzentrum leider nicht empfehlen und rate dringend davon ab, hier tauchen zu gehen.
Der erste Eindruck täuscht nicht: das Gebäude ist alt und in die Jahre gekommen, genau so wie das Equipment. Es hängen Schilder aus mit dem Hinweis, dass das Tauchzentrum 2019 gemäß Padi zertifiziert wurde – und das war dann auch das letzte mal. Seitdem wurde die Lizenz nicht mehr erneuert , es werden trotzdem Padi Kurse angeboten: Wer beispielsweise einen einen Open water diver Schein machen möchte, dem sollte bewusst sein, dass diese Zertifizierung vom diesem Tauchzentrum nicht vorgenommen werden kann!!! Auch ist dies besonders bedenklich hinsichtlich Sicherheits- und Qualitätsstandards!
Zu dem Gesamteindruck kommt noch hinzu, dass kein Tauchboot vorhanden ist (es ist ständig in Reparatur). Alternativ wird ein Fischerboot benutzt. Aus diesem Grund ist es als Taucher sehr unkomfortabel, sich auf den Tauchgang vorzubereiten. Auf dem viel zu kleinen Boot sind dann beispielsweise sechs Taucher und vier Schnorchler und alle haben zu wenig Platz auf dem Boot und sitzen eine zu lange Zeit in der prallen Sonne.
Zu guter letzt ist das Equipment sehr schlecht. Tarierjackets verlieren beispielsweise viel Luft und Blei gab es auch nicht genügend.
Für dieses Angebot sind die Preise viel zu hoch. Ich kann deshalb nur von diesem Tauchzentrum abraten. – via google

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Azzurra Dive Center in Seychelles, La Digue Island! My discovery diving adventure there was nothing short of amazing. The team was incredibly professional and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. My daughter did a discovery dive with Vivi and I accompanied them as well on the dive. All was well organized and very friendly. We really enjoyed the experience and the dive site. It while easy enough for the discovery dive, yet it provided a lot of marine life including a turtle. The only downside is the non-functional website which made the first contact a bit difficult. I would suggest to revisit the contact details on the google maps. – via google

We took our OWD course there.
It said online that they were closed, but when we walked there, it was open.
The course was fine, Lana was a good teacher.
But after a month of ghosting us (we were told we should get a confirmation mail from PADI ASAP), we basically got scammed by her.
Will update if anything happens. Just beware that you might not get anything while still paying way too much for your OWD.

Update: After contacting PADI about the issue and leaving a negative review, we finally received our licenses. It still feels bad that we had to wait and stir up so much trouble to get it. – via google

I encourage potential customers to take their business elsewhere!

We specifically went to La Digue for 6 days to finish our PADI open water course. What a mistake that was!

In the beginning there were no answers to any of the emails I sent. Only through WhatsApp did I get a response.

The shop and I, agreed on a date range that we would be on the island, this was confirmed in our chat (ca. 90 days before our arrival) .

I sent one or two follow up questions to the shop, (like should we bring anything specific for the course), again no answer.

We arrive at the island, but the shop is closed for the day. Next day I write again on WhatsApp and arrange to meet same eavning.
At the meeting we get an excuse about the boat being broken and some family issues.

They promised to come with a recommendation ASAP.

Late day 3 we get a recommendation to try Trek Divers on the island. We had already contacted them in the morning, they were sweet to try and fit us in, but were fully booked on such short notice.

We also tried two shops on Praslin, they could take us in but the transfer ruined it for us. Thank you White Tip and Octpus Diving for fast response and flexibility.

We had planned much of our trip around getting the certificate and doing some of our first dives.
We could have tried to make changes to our travel plans, if we were had gotten some information before arrrival.

You know who you are from the dive shop, shame on you for leading us on, shame on you for not saying no earlier!! – via google
