A great time at Atmosphere Dive – Atmosphere Resorts & Spa for our family vacation in Dauin, Philippines. Special call out to Jan that helped remedy our situation after my dad lost his dive certification card, and setting up our refresher dive lessons on short notice. Arjay, our phenomenal dive master that doesn’t miss any camouflaged critters, you were the highlight! The frogfish, nudibranch, flamboyant cuttlefish, seahorses are marvellous. Swimming in the coral reef garden with giant turtles were wonderful . Ross and Caroline were so great with Luca, he loved the bubble maker lesson (future diver ??). The waves were a bit rough this week so we didn’t get to enjoy the house reef as much as we would like. I hear the water is more calm April-June, so perhaps a future visit after my son becomes a diver.

Food and Drinks were great and the price is very reasonable (from the prices I am used to in Canada). They have specials every meal to add some variety. My favorite is the complementary breakfast, they alternate between la a carte menu and buffet.

This suggestion for improvement might be outside of the resort control. The beach in front of the resort is lovely, the beach in front of the house reef (public area) has a bit of debris during high tide so had to swim around the garbage to wade out. Not a lot, so don’t want to be an alarmist. Perhaps the resorts along the area can collectively try to remove the garbage so it doesn’t get push back out to the ocean. On that note, I am impressed with the effort the resort put in to minimize waste, plastic waste was almost non-existent. They provided reusable metal water bottles for guests. – via

My husband and I stayed at the Atmosphere resorts from March 2nd-4th, 2024. We very much enjoyed our stay and our experience!

We strongly recommend Edward for doing a wine tasting session. He was very knowledgeable and had great compassion for what he does. His hand picked wines were exceptional and his whole collection of wines was impressive! Thank you Ed!

We had the best Filipino food at their bistro and their breakfast was very nice and satisfying. Great coffees too!
Their Signature massage was phenomenal! A must try.
Their house reef was amazing, comparable to some islands we visited in Australia near great barrier reefs.

Even though we didn’t book our trip to Apo Island with the resort, spending time in the Apo Island was one of the highlights of our trip! Local people of the Apo Island were so hospitable and lovely. Our guide was trained by the Apo Island local dive master with 15 years of diving experiences. This was an unforgettable experience.

Room & Service: We stayed at a Deluxe room. Everything was good except having giant group of ants all over our stuffs near the sink. It was just a shocking image. We called Concierge to rectify the situation and it was fixed after our second attempt.

A sophisticated and tranquil resort designed in such a way that you can enjoy drinks with others or find your own peaceful spot. The standard of food and drinks is high and varied. The diving is five stars in the support you get from DM and instructors and the dive sites that are in the immediate surrounding area. We have young children and we came specially to this resort to be able to do one tank dives close by so we didn’t need to be away from the kids too long and also have an extra pair of hands to help with childcare. The resort didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded our expectations. Most important to me was the staff – professional, easy going, great at what they do (cleaning, front desk, diving, bar, restaurant, you name it). My kids got sick (as kids do) and the staff were so resourceful, helpful and kind helping us get the care the kids needed. Thank you to everyone at Atmosphere. – via

We stayed here for six nights. The hotel can provide pick up service to and from the airport since there are no taxis (only tricycles and jeepneys). In general, everything is definitely overpriced, but for the quality of services, it’s worth it.

If you are into snorkeling or diving, this is the place to be. Dive masters and instructors are top notch, and so is the equipment. They also provide you water, coffee, and fruit after each dive. If you’re into tech diving, this is also the place to be.

I made some special requests for food and also the day with the chef, and the chef was so considerate and made all exceptions. Chef Jun studied in Manila but also trained with an Italian chef (hence a lot of the western menu is Italian based). He offers elevated Filipino food as well as western food. Very delicious.

All the staff seemed to be trained in hospitality management — very polite, also knew dining etiquette, etc.

We also had a massage — which was great. Some improvements: maybe ask the guest which area to focus the massage on, if there are places you prefer not to massage, how strong you want the massage, and let them fill out the feedback form presented at the beginning of the massage. Also we booked a 90 minute massage but it only lasted 70…but we didn’t want to argue about time. They almost forgot to offer us tea as we walked out of the facility, but then remembered.

Day with the chef was also entertaining – we learned a lot of new techniques and recipes to our cooking repertoire (we also altered the menu as we knew the standard dishes already, but the chef was so nice and adjusted). We spent almost 4 hours cooking, but it was worth it.

The beach area isn’t white sand and the water can sometimes be rough, but we didn’t come here to lounge around all day, mainly for diving. We didn’t even go into the various pools

Happy Hour is From 5-6pm, so don’t miss it.

For some reason, people were constantly mowing the crabgrass lawn starting from 2pm every day. Didn’t really understand why as it was so short already, and the noise was a bit disturbing. There is also some lively area behind the resort as we kept hearing videoke and announcements all night.

One great thing about the rooms is that there is a water jug that is refilled daily, and the resort provides you refillable water bottles to take home with you. They also provide a drying rack. These two things are always greatly appreciated in any hotel we visit! They also have Bose Bluetooth speakers in the room so we could play music (and we didn’t have to use our own).

There is also a 50% discount for locals in case you want to dine in, enjoy the facilities or even spend the night. I’d say more than 50% of the guests were Pinoy when we were here.
